UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500
“1948 Willys CJ2 split windshield Jeep from Montana. Very clean original steel body. The diamond plate on the corners of the tub I believe was put there for strength to mount the tire bracket swing arm, as it is very heavy. There appears not to be any rust on the back side of the tub that the plates are mounted to. Original tailgate that folds down, flat fenders, hood and floor pan.Two very small holes in corners of both front floor pans. Windshield glass and frame good. The body on this CJ2 is VERY CLEAN almost rust free. Has a very reliable V6 Buick motor, that fits nicely and starts and runs great. Has headers and new dual exhaust. Can be driven anywhere. There is no top. Would make a great world war 11 reenactment military Army jeep. Comes with a front winch, roll bar, jack, tow bar, spare tire carrier and a spare tire. Clean original 1948 Ohio title in my name. “
Listed as a 1945, I don’t see any thing ’45 about it.
“I have a 1945 Willy’s with a rust free frame for sale. New tires, rims, shocks, carburetor, fuel pump, tie rod ends.Needs axle seals and windshield. No time. Love to see this jeep get more attention then I can give it. Flathead 4 Hurricane was rebuilt. Not many miles since. (2000).But it was rebuilt about 25years ago. Never driven on road since rebuild. Just used on private property.Body was also done with heavy guage steel.”
Some dings and dents, but the rust doesn’t look too bad.
“1955 Model M170 Ambulance
Excellent-engine, tires, body with spare parts.

I’m taking the evening off. I spent all weekend working on my book. The proof is ready to be printed. I ought to receive a couple proof copies next week so I can begin making final changes and correcting errors 🙂
Roberto shared his newest illustration that depicts a cat driving a jeep. My cats prefer to snuggle up in the seats and sleep (if they can get into the garage).
The April 1955 issue of Willys News included this article and excerpt from the June 1955 issue of American Poultry Journal.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
These don’t pop up for sale often!
“If you know what this is, you know that they do not come up for sale very often. This is the 4 door military version of the FC170 cab over pickup truck built by Willys and the Kaiser Jeep from 1956 to 1965. They say that around 400 of them were built for the Navy in 1964. This is 1 of the approximately 50 know to still exist. She has a South Carolina windshield registration tag from 1975, but she has been in Michigan for at least 10 years and is now located in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
The Good:
#264 of approximately 400 M-677s ever built. This vehicle is still in very original condition with it’s complete Cerlist 3 cylinder, 2 stroke, supercharged diesel engine, T-90 Transmission, Spicer 18 Transfer Case and full interior. All the glass is there and good, except for a small crack in the Driver’s door main window at the bottom that is barley visible. Interior and floor steel are in very good condition. I have a clear title.

“For sale, a 1947 Jeep cj2a with a steel half top, a tow bar on the front and a cj3b engine in it. I bought a new gas tank, a stock set of seats, had the starter rebuilt for it, with a new solenoid and put new oil pan and timing cover gaskets on. There’s some rust but I’ve seen worse, Body panels are available for what needs to be fixed. I have a clean title for it in my name.”
