(08/20/2015) Seller indicates this is a project, but it sounds like it runs and drives.
“This is a fantastic project for a Jeep enthusiast! Everything is original accept for the wheels and tires, and the factory after market tailgate, but I also have the original tailgate, (Included). I also am including some extras such as, side mount gas tank and bracket, original Willy’s spare tire with tailgate bracket, 2 – vynil doors, (No Top). This Willy’s has the original flat head, 4 cylinder engine, and it runs great! I was planning to do a frame-up restoration on her, but current circumstances dictate the need for a good work truck. I want to sell her to someone who will follow through with a restoration. I will take cash, or trade for a good work truck of similar value. I have title in hand. Registration is due by the end of this month. Does not require smog. Only serious buyers need contact!”
Looks like there is value here.

“I have a 1951 Willys M38 military 1/4 ton Jeep in unrestored condition for sale. M38 ‘flat fender’ serial MC45xxx, built 12-51. The body does have some rust and body-putty patchwork but otherwise is in a reasonably restorable condition. The M38 has had its original engine replaced by a F4-134 Hurricane and thus a hole was cut in the hood for clearance. I do have a more correct L-134 engine listed for sale elsewhere. The 24v electrics were removed and rewired by 12v stock equipment. The brakes have been rebuilt and the vehicle was runnable as of 2008, but has been under tarp since then, and has deteriorated. I have a clear title, but it is not complete, will provide details if interested. Please call me for more info… Continue reading
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1500.
It hasn’t been used in a while.
“Monroe 3 point lift that was removed from a CJ2A over 30 years ago and has been in storage ever since. The pictures show what is included. Basically what is missing is the center link, both lift links and one drawbar mounting bracket. Along with the lower crank pulley, there are two additional pulleys included that are not necessarily for this unit. The hydraulic cylinder moves freely and shows no unusual wear. The flexible hydraulic hoses are included for patterns only. Located in Windsor, Pa.”
No pics provided.

Merlin published a report on the 9th Annual Mason Dixon Willys Jeep Show and Gettysburg Tour this past weekend.
The bottom illustration goes graphic to make a point.
“13 x 18 inch original poster from the US Army Safety Program, printed in 1948. Folded in half as issued. VG condition. Shows a graphic jeep wreck.”
UPDATE: This photo may show the below jeep during the parade. The jeep was listed on eBay, but I do not know if it sold or not.
This jeep was used in Nixon’s inauguration parade on January 20, 1969.
“This is an historically significant Jeep: an official unit (complete with dash plaque) in the Inauguration Parade for President Richard Nixon on January 20, 1969. This Jeep is mostly original, has solid and very clean floors and has been gone over from the ground up. Great shape. Garage kept. Original Dauntless V6 engine runs extremely well. Rebuilt carb, all new brakes including parking brake, new clutch and fork, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, speedo cable, new battery, and all new fluids. 2 tops-soft and bikini. Show winner. Reupholstered original vinyl seats front and rear. Jeep OEM roll bar. Older paint with minimal surface rust. Buffs up really well.”
Looks like a nice jeep for the price.
“This is a very cool 47 flat fender short hood jeep. It has a 327 small block Chevy with a comp cam and lifter set. A weiland stealth intake, 500 Edelbrock carb, HEI ignition, chrome water pump, chrome headers with stainless mangnaflow short mufflers. The tranny is a M420 4 speed with twin stick transfer case. It has a Dana 44 rear end and a 27 front end with 3.73 gears rolling on new Wrangler 33X12.5 15 tires. New aluminum radiator, fuel tank, fuel lines, brake lines and wheel cylinders. The windshield frame is stainless with new glass and chrome front grill. The front and back seats are new and has a pioneer stereo with hertz 6×9 and 5 1/4 speakers. “1952 M-38 Willy’s Military Jeep in exceptional condition. This Jeep has been converted to 12 volt with all new wiring with Military Spec wire and connectors. It has blackout lights front and back that are operational. All dash lights and gauges work. Engine runs great, vacuum windshield wipers are operational, rare folding rear seat with cushions and seatbelts. Almost complete rust-free body. Current California vehicle registration with clear title. I have new seat cover for drivers seat and side doors not shown in pictures. Other parts available. ”
Has a variety of updates.
“I’m selling a 1946 Willy’s Jeep, it has all Pro Comp shocks, a 3 inch lift with 1 inch axle spacers. Running a Buick 225 Oddfire V6 with a GM 3 speed + granny low transmission, Warn overdrive, high/low transfer case, and obviously four wheel drive. I replaced the older radiator with an aluminum 3 inch core radiator. The soft top is about 6 months old and is Best Top brand. I’ve used this Jeep as a daily driver sometimes and have always been able to rely on it, it’s really a lot of fun to own and drive, the only reason I am selling it is because I am going to college. Feel free to call or text, texting me first will be better.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,500.
(02/02/2015) Looks in good shape. Is that wood lining the body edge and the dash. Maybe a replacement body?

“I’m selling a Willys cj jeep. I’m not sure what year it is. It is being sold for parts only. No title. It supposedly ran a few years back. The body is rough shape but would be a good project.”
No engine or title.
“1952 M38 for parts or fix up missing engine no title has tag on passenger rear inner fender wall”
Appears to have parts value at the very least.
“1946 Willys Jeep..good motor new parts decent tires text or call for more info to”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $995.
No engine. No gauges on the dash.
“Previous owner said this was a 1952 Willys… No idea what exact model. There is no title and no engine currently in the Jeep.
It had a Chevy 350 in it at one point and is still set up for that. It has what appears to be the original transmission (with a 350 bell housing), the original transfer case, driveshafts, and axles. The frame appears solid and has been boxed in. The body is rough but but it’s still there and solid enough for a trail/ farm rig. Make me an offer! Phone calls only please!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500
(10/04/2015) Listed as a 1942 CJ-2A, it looks like it could be a 3A.
“1942 CJ2A Jeep Willys
The Jeep is in decent condition for its age. It was restored in the early 80″s and rarely driven or used. Up until a year ago it was garage kept. It has all the original equipment and was running well when last driven in 1997.

The internet is moving at a snail’s pace for some reason this evening, so only a few updates tonight. We went to the movies and saw the Martian tonight. For some reason my wife and an ex-girlfriend of mine both think Matt Damon’s character reminds them of me? Maybe the just want to stick me on a planet far far away? Hmmmmmm.
I ran across this article that shares Lee Holland’s efforts to replicate a working WWII motor pool. The building’s interior was organized based on actual motor pool plans. You can learn all about it at the Hopewell News: http://www.hopewellnews.com/article_7861.shtml
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
Jake’s selling this truck and parts.
“hi there, i have a 1951? willy’s pickup truck for sale. it is an early truck because it has the split rear axle, split windshield and early gauge cluster. Engine runs great. has the f134 overhead vale 75hp engine. she moves and shifts great. IT IS A 4X4 1 Ton pickup… at least back in 1951 it was rated as a 1 ton 😛 she does not have brakes 😛 body is so so…Needs love. Frame has rust out in some spots but it was common on the willys pickup trucks. i have another frame that can be used to repair some of it. that frame has rust out too. have another cab with glass in it that is not cracked and i have very good glass for the front windshield. have another set of axles that comes with it to… they have locking hubs and are from a later willys pickup but would great on this truck too. i have a bunch of the harder to find parts for this pickup too like glass for the marking lights and stuff like that.
this willys would make a GREAT winter project. i have too many projects and could use the money for better uses like for my wedding 🙂 the cons are: i dont have a title for it and there is not a vin tag on it so that would be a hurdle you would have to cross at some time.”
