The Flathead V8 has lots of room to breathe with the custom vents in the hood, extended range fuel tank on the passenger side, this could be a pretty neat vehicle for someone’s farm, small race track on demo derby night to pull back some racers……

Seller’s description

1948 Willy’s. What you see is what you get on this one. It’s pretty much all there but needs some work. It has a homemade boom in the bed that is pto driven. I have not tried to start it personally but it supposedly ran 10ish years ago. It has a clean/clear title.

1947 Delivery Fresno, CA $5,000 (Drag Willys)

“Andy’s Picks”

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/260501820356644/?rdid=WjshYy7ki3MMl0pR&share_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fshare%2F18s8AD3f1E%2F

So here is one Andy tossed my way, I don’t see this as a viable Drag Racing anything here, but you can absolutely build it to what you need this to be. You will need some “Vision” here.

The Delivery with Barn Doors is the cool part to me, along with the patina, it looks solid.

IMO I’m taking this off the chassis they tossed together that sounds like it all needs to be rebuilt anyway and you have a really neat Willys to work with there are some areas that look done like the firewall and transmission tunnel. Floor looks really nice,

No title so that’s a negative, not being sold as a street legal anything here so its going to require some work.

The collection of parts is impressive, for how much modification has been done, I don’t personally see the pay back here at the price point in parts alone so your going to need a plan here as far as use and project base goes.

If it was on my way home, I would stop in and take a look and see what the deal is here if you looking for a project base.

From the Ad:

“I’m going to go ahead and get a VIN applied to this, so it may take a couple of months before this will be available for pickup.

Not sure of the year, but It’s an early Willys Panel. There is no VIN plate on this, and I have no idea what the VIN is.

We were going to make this into a twin turbo drag car. Comes will brand new glass and rubbers, door handle repair kit and LED headlights.

We had the frame, underside and interior of the body blasted. The frame has been painted, but some of the body was left raw and there is some mild surface rust to clean up.

The firewall has a brake master cylinder installed and smooth panels welded in. The frame, firewall and floor have been modified to fit a bigger transmission.

The original 2wd front suspension was cut out and a narrowed crown vic front suspension is partially installed.

We do have the hood, but I forgot to take a photo. The rear leaf hangars were cut out and aftermarket ones tacked in place.

The rear axle and springs are only mocked up and the axle will need a rebuild (Explorer 8.8).

You can buy it with, or without the crown vic front suspension.

I won’t sell parts, you’ll have to buy the body if you want the parts. No trades, sorry. Bill of sale only, remember, there is no VIN, so it might be difficult to title if you’re planning on street registering it.”

1955 Wagon Costa Mesa, CA $1,089

Update: Price Reduced $1100 now $1,089

“Andy’s Picks”

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/495057516538146/?rdid=JH8oIymQvkyu4zp6&share_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fshare%2F1Ds7uUAjBP%2F

Posted as a 1955 226, no engine installed, but you can make out a very little part of the gauges and the rear gate is split so could be. Has the longer input shaft on T90 for a 6 cylinder, and has the extra shifter so should have a Overdrive with this one, which is a bonus.

Looking inside there are more surprises besides the vintage buckets, the heater box and controls are the later post mid 1962 commonly supplied on the 230_OHC Wagons and trucks, then the later CJ’s had a version of these as well. So they could be of interest to some collectors.

You start adding it up and you have a good little chunk of parts here for sure. I’m not sure you have a break even parting this out when you start adding it all up at the current asking price, but parts are parts.

This is a total project as far as a restoration goes, you are not getting that “out West” rust free start here with this one.

From the Ad:

“It’s a 1955 6-266 Willy’s Jeep Wagon This will be a major restoration project for whoever buys it. It needs alot of fabrication as it has a ton of rust / rot. Serious inquiries only. Title: Vintage [hidden information] Station Wagon Project Car Willy’s Jeep Make an offer. Price is very negotiable! I don’t want to trade. I have too many cars! Condition: Non-running, requires tow; has rust; engine disassembled years ago with various parts sorted in boxes within the car(in pictures) Includes: Original title, owner’s and service manuals, old part receipts. Note: Vehicle hasn’t run in 20+ years. Has been sitting in the SoCal sun the entire time. This is going to be a huge project for whoever buys it. Lots of rust + fabrication needed, if you don’t know how to restore a car then this is not for you!

Stordor For Sale Atwater, CA and Goldfield, NV

• CATEGORIES: Willys Trucks • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Folks not familiar with the Stordor these were box trucks that were on Willys chassis. There was a fairly large market of box trucks like the Grumman, Metro of course the big 3 as well, the box was installed over a chassis.

Here is a back post from Dave on the Stordor……..

The quickest way to tell them apart is by the grill in the front.

The Willys Stordor has a unique single set of vertical grill bars on top of the dual horizontal grill bar areas below.

These pop up from time to time, price can vary based on condition.

Here are a few of “Andy’s Picks”

Here is another from Andy, we are posting the Ad years here, but really I’m a little skeptical that these would be mid ’40s, my guess would be late ’40s, like 48, 49, 50….. but someone may know better then my guess here. My baisis is just I wonder if Willys had the vision to sell these so early on in the chassis only version right out of the gate. The answer could be yes it was all part of the overall design to support the market and they were happy to sell units.

This could very well be a Chevy not sure buyer beware, if you get there and need some Willys help with ID on the driveline post up a comment. Could also make a Cousin Eddie RV out of this one!

1945 Chevy Willys overland store door Goldfield, NV $3500

“This is a Willys store door chevy. OK don’t kill me. Put a 318 in it. Runs drives I got it with no motor or trans. Guy was making it a camper but inside is not done. Some superficial rust I found but it’s nothing to stress. Aluminum sidding was on it but it’s still a solid steal box. Bell grill an all it’s a beast but a very rare willys.. asking what I paid 3500 OBO”

eWillys Content and Contributors

• CATEGORIES: News • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Just wanted to share some stuff on the backend, this will be a team effort and you will see some stuff from a few great Willys folks along the way.

Stuff like “Andy’s Picks”, and a few other tricks up our sleeves. Some other Authors are in the works, if they toss up a formal introduction or not, up to them really, but we will have some others helping post stuff. So be on the look out!

I think there is value in most anything but I don’t think we need to post just to post, to fill a certain quota. It may not be all ad’s all the time. The Authors may have some neat information to share or points of view on all things Willys.

Will try to keep the ad links up high in the posts for folks “in the know”, but if I’m learning it for the first time odds are I’m sharing that along the way because there probably is someone else who.csn use that link or knowledge, and maybe I get some comments and we all learn something new.

Vendors

One plan is to reach out to some of the quailty vendors who keep our Willys world working. Mostly to see what’s new or upcoming, maybe you have some special stock of something that might be of interest to others.

Vendor spotlight might be fun to hear a little bit about the history or start up. Probably will have a quick format for that process. No skin in the game here for us, just trying to get some good info out to folks for where parts can be sourced if you would like to talk and share a little at some point keep us in mind. More to come on this idea.

Events

Same for events, it’s great to share a link and that’s super easy, but what makes your event unique, any tips on travel or where to stay for guests from a far. I really like to know about any super tricky roads or access to the event, is there trailer parking for example.

We are able to do something a little more then just the link if your game to share we would love to help spread the word. It’s so much work to put these events on so happy to at a minimum share the link, but can also add some stuff if helpful.

Comments

Posts in general feel free to add a comment or more details if we get it wrong or there is a varying opinion. But please keep it respectful and positive.

Not required at all to comment or like a post. We don’t need to track any of that, but if you do like it or do not, always welcome to let us know so we can get some feedback. This is a non-political site, family oriented,  so posts and comments will always be geared towards that.

If the year is posted for a rig and it’s wrong I typically post the year as per the ad, but will add a comment if it’s a Salad or just not what it is. Sometimes that’s also on purpose to keep all of us on our toes.

Contact Us

Work in progress, while we have a temporary email set up for now, I’m waiting to see if we can fix the site mail in the next few weeks before we post it up, so leave a comment for now and we will get it, if it needs to be off line let us know and we can reach out, you won’t need to share your email in the comment, it comes across the backend.

Thank You!

I really appreciate everyone who has reached out and overall supported me or the site over the years. It’s been a good start and as we get things sorted should be an enjoyable spot to check out from time to time.

Thanks, Tim
