1942 Photo of Soldiers Sleeping from Oahu on eBay
Being able to sleep in a jeep is a sure sign they were tired! Looks like a Willys MA based on the gauges.
“1942- Exhausted U.S. soldiers sleep in their jeep following maneuvers in Oahu, Hawaii, that duplicated actual wartime conditions.”
1946 VEC? CJ-2A Elk Grove, CA $4995
Seller lists this as a VEC, but without tool indents or a column shift, I wonder if that is the case. Looks like it could make a good restoration though.
“1946 JEEP CJ-2A, (VEC). Numbers matching with a clear Calif. title. This is a barn find it had been sitting for years. It starts and runs good, I drove it last week. It has very good oil pressure although it burns some oil. It has a new water pump & rad. hoses, new fuel pump, 6V battery, new brake wheel cyl and rebuilt master cyl, new steering bell crank shaft and brgs. The lights work. This Jeep was originally (as you see it) green in color with 15 inch cream wheels with blue pin stripes. The tub is very solid very little rust, there was a truck cab and a rear cover protecting the floors. It has a PTO winch. I can deliver within 300 miles for a fee.”

1970 CJ-5 Chandler, AZ **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000
“Looking to sell my project jeep. Was rescued from abandonment and have been going thru the process of titling it. I haven’t run into any troubles.
I need to pay bills and not build projects right now.
Has running dauntless engine v6 . Possible negotiable price if I keep the motor. The wife will kill me but gas golf cart and on road motorcycle trades possible ☺
It rolls and when the gas tank is bypassed it starts right up (does not include battery) but it is a project and I want everyone to realize I understand it is not a show car. It’s a thousand dollars and would make a great toy for someone. I have no patience for a lot of haggling bs. So please leave it at home. Cash talks better.

1950 Wagon Lugoff, SC $13,500
Looks solid, but I can’t quite tell how good the paint is.
“1950 Willys Wagon 4×4. Original drive train with the F 134 4 cylinder motor, T90 3 speed transmission, Dana 18 transfer case, Dana 25 front axle, and Dana 44 rear axle. Custom headliner and seats redone. Original wooden slats in floor. Runs and drives good but brakes have to be pumped once to have a good pedal. New tires, water pump, rebuilt distributor and carb. There were only 2450 produced with the 4wd in 1950 so it’s a pretty rare vehicle. Not a perfect show vehicle and has a little rust but always gets compliments everywhere I take it. Asking $13,500 or BO. Will consider trades for muscle car or 1967-72 short bed Chevy truck.”
1953 CJ-3B Charlotte, NC **SOLD**

1953 Parkway Wagon Pablo, MT No Price
Thanks to Dan for getting a pic of the interior.
“Been sitting. Will start but the float sticks. Has a Montgomery Ward 235 inline six. Some cancer in the fenders. The back cargo doors make it a rare find? I’ve been contacted already with cash offers. I need a wrecker for my shop. If your making a cash offer……..wrecker ain’t cheap.”
1947 CJ-2A Boring, OR **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** $5000.
“This jeep was my grandpas and my dads. It’s been stored in the garage and we need the space. As you can see it’s being used as a storage rack. It starts right up and drives. It needs new brakes and tires. 4 speed Manual tranny. Stock army jeep painted red. In fair condition. Serious inquiries only and I will clean it off for you to sit in the drivers seat and start it up:) the picture of the orange jeep that is clean isn’t my jeep. It’s what my jeep would look like if I cleaned it off.”
1947 Wagon Hot Springs, SD $2000
Dan thinks the script on the glove box indicates this is an early production wagon. Can anyone confirm?
“1947 Willys Station Wagon: Converted to 12 volt, alternator, new tires, powder coated rims, original paint “luzon red”, new shocks, brake linings, new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, borg warner overdrive, good glass all around, some rust in front fenders where attached to wagon near doors. No rust in floor pans or rear quarters! This vehicle would make great resoration, as is in “original condition”. No rust in rear tailgate, original single lens back light. Lights, dash guages, electrics, work fine. The original 4 cylinder engine runs fine. Good radiator. Three speed column shifter works excellent. Runs and drives well. Steering is tight. No seats inside. Wide oak cargo liners are in good condition. Original Willys Overland rubber floor mats on steps, both drivers and passenger side.”

1943 GPW Tullytown, PA **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $950.
(04/14/2016) Steve forwarded this one. I wouldn’t say it is a “great” candidate for restoration; more accurate to say it is badly in need of restoration.
“I have a all orginal 43 Willys gpw. 9 slot grille, with solid tailgate. Jeep was pulled from a collapsed barn in upstate pa.
The bad: Engine is either locked it the trans, because rear axel will not spin..
Also it was hit on the front driver side so the grille and fenders are bent but can be repaired.
The good: it’s a great candidate for a restoration as it’s almost complete minus the seats.
It has the body tags and data plates so acuiring at title would not be hard.”
A Vehicular Love Story
Mike shared this kind of corny story about a man and his jeep. The image is stock footage used by the site. It isn’t related to the story, except that it shows an old (GPW script) jeep.
1943 Photo of Jeep Pulling Barrage Balloon on eBay
Steve found this photo from Camp Tyson of a jeep pulling a barrage balloon.
“1943- U.S. soldiers use a jeep to maneuver a barrage balloon into position during training at the Barrage Balloon Training Center at Camp Tyson, Tennessee.”
1945 MB Woody Northfield, MA $40,000
Glenn spotted this on Hemmings. I looked for a similar example from a brochure and magazine, but didn’t located one. The closed ting I found was the Baby-Jeep-Duriez from France.
“1945 Willy MB Woody Wagon. Frame off restoration, original drive train, wood body is copy of the original. Unique, one of ??, turns heads. Shriners?”

1942 GPW Grass Valley, CA **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3653.
Has some updates.
“Here is your chance to own a piece of History. This is the real deal, a Ford GPW. Not many left, and likely saw service in WWII. This one features a Willys flathead 4 cylinder, t90 3 speed trans, twin stick transfer case, and dana axles. The hood still has some original military markings, and there are still some F script parts. This rig runs like a singer sewing machine and has literally logged thousands of miles in the sierras on a multitude of cool back country trips. The price is more than fair for a turn key piece of history. No offers without seeing the rig, yes it can be shipped worldwide at your expense.”
