Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The seller wants $59 for this, which seems a bit crazy, but the reason these photos caught my eye is that they show DJ-3A Galas crossing entering (crossing?) the water. Unclear whether this was for fun, for experience or a purpose. It may be some kind of beach-based road that floods at high tide? No description provided.

This unusual ad appeared in a Buffalo Auto Show program in 1955. The CJ-3B was only two years old at this point, yet doesn’t make the cut for the ad. Clearly the emphasis was on the CJ-5.

“Selling this 1947 Willys Jeep (CJ-2a) It has been been converted to a 12v system. It runs and drives great under its own power, 3 speed manual with a high/low 4wd system. It has an aftermarket winch up front for off-roading, the price is negotiable so just shoot me an offer, not really looking for any trades. The interior and body is pretty clean. No major rust, clean TN title that is ready to be transferred. Original go devil 4 cylinder engine, brand new carburetor”

(09/2127/2023) Jeep Cab-over Coca-Cola Delivery Truck—AII original beautiful delivery truck in new condition; complete with Coca Cola accessories including a cooler; rarely driven as part of the owners antique truck collection but runs and drives great; all parts in working order; very low mileage and paint and interior condition as new. This is an incredibly unique vehicle.

Panel rust in usual places but underneath and hat channels are in good condition. I have a 1978 Buick 231 even fire engine with 79000 miles on it for an extra $500.00. This ad indicates it was placed four years ago, but this is the first time I’ve seen it. Maybe still available? One might be a GPW, but hard to say. The other is likely a CJ-2A.

“It has a Buick 350 swapped into it, which runs surprisingly well. It has never failed to start, even after sitting for years at a time. It runs and drives, but needs steering attention and brakes redone. Body is in overall, decent shape. Top is in rough shape and is only on to protect from the elements. It has an original dash, and dash pad, along with a new steering column. There is no wiring, other than what is necessary to start the vehicle. It will come with a new wiring harness, from “Painless Performance”.”
