“I am selling my CJ2 A project Jeep. This Jeep came from California and is all original. I tore it down and started restoration. It has a Buick 212 V6 that was installed at a dealer in ’62. I had the engine professionally rebuilt from crank to carb. This engine is bored out to a 223 with all new parts. I have put new leaf springs, brake lines, and painted the frame. I have everything to put it back together but the time. I have a spare front axle. This jeep has the original exterior screen for the radiator and the original winch. Tub is totally rust free including the tool box under the passenger seat.”

Tracy believes these parts were from a 1920s Willys vehicle, but isn’t sure. She’s hoping to get them to someone who could use them. She’s tried contacting the Willys Knight Registry, but so far hasn’t gotten any response.
I like the maze for the jeep on the inside. More jeep-like than a jeep.

“1945/46 Cj2A Jeep Willys, was a California car for most of its life and has very little surface rust. Reliable enough to drive everyday if you wanted to, starts and runs every time. Needs TLC as expected from an old vehicle. Fun to drive and a great project for anyone with a little mechanical know how. I would love to keep it but its time for the next project.

“2nd year of the civilian Willy’s Jeep…CJ 2A. All original motor and drive train. Used on a deER lease for the past few years. Engine and tranny were rebuilt 10 years ago. Clean Texas Title…..will run on starter fluid.”
Still needs a little work.
“Registered as a 1952 Willys. All fiberglass, Locked Ford 9in., Automatic Transmission, 427 Big Block Chevy (approx. 450hp), nitrous kit available, Full cage built for 3 people attached to the frame, New drive shafts, etc. The Jeep has not seen sand since 2008. I had a new T18 transfer case put in it in 2012 as well as having the rest of the drivetrain inspected. It does not currently run. The fuel lines, battery and driveshafts need to be installed. The seats are weathered but actually new. I have never driven it with these seats installed. The Super Swampers and Mickey Thompsons are no longer on the Jeep, It will be sold with 32×11.50×15 BFG All Terrains on aluminum wheels. I am willing to negotiate but do not come at me with some ridiculously low ball offer.”
Not sure how much value is here.
“I have a 1946-47 Willys CJ2A that is in very restorable shape of to make it into whatever you would like, The rundown: been in a barn for 20 plus yrs, engine, trans, transfer case is all rebuild able but is not running, floor pans are in good shape not rusted through, body could use a little work but is in great shape for its year and compared to others I have found. Has an extra windshield and frame. One rust through spot in the frame but nothing too concerning. It only has two rims with no tires so it is on a trailer an not mobile. Take a look at pics..”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $200.

“1947 Jeep Willys CJ2A near original state. Has the “Go Devil” 4cyl. engine also know as the L-head. With in the last year; new fuel tank, rebuilt starter ( also has a high rev 12v starter for it), rebuilt carb ( still leaks as the of the age recommend replacement), all new wiring with new battery, brakes rebuild except the master which was good at the time. A few years ago the engine was rebuilt runs strong.
Body is not perfect (started to remove paint as it had a bad brush paint job before). Over all good bones for a restore. Or good ranch rig.
As of now it need the seats redone, and a new carb.
HAVE CLEAR TITLE.”
UPDATE: John pointed out that the early GAZ was modeled after the first Bantam. This may well be a restored early GAZ.
Roberto forwarded a link to a celebration in Vietnam that included jeeps. I was checking out the CJ-3Bs and M-606s when I spotted a jeep that looked curiously like a copy of the original Bantam BRC. It’s doesn’t seem to be a perfect copy, but still looks pretty neat. I’ve blown up the pics, so they are a little blurry.

Seth found this photo of a stretched M-38A1 with extra seats parked at a Walmart. Looks like there’s a small sign attached to the beer case that indicates this may be in Virginia near the National Museum of the Marines
Appears mostly stock.
