Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: The price has been bouncing around a bit. This is the lowest I’ve seen.
This has the muller hardtop and a few other California-esque mods, such as the rear bumper (note it looks similar to the rear bumper in the muller ad). Despite sitting, this might be worth a look. It’s probably a well-built jeep.

This March 10, 1948, article in the Toledo Blade reported that the FTC ordered Willys Overland to stop claiming or inferring that it had “either acting alone or in co-operation or collaboration with the United States Army or with any other agency or party, created or designed the automotive vehicle known as the jeep.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.
Listed as a 1948, it looks more like a 1946. I can’t tell for sure, but the windshield may have square bow holder bolts.

Has an Acme fiberglass hardtop. Could be a good price. Not sure about its worth since I can’t remember seeing one for sale. Has some vintage rims, too.
