New rad hose”
UPDATE: The magazine Guion from Uruguay published a one-page article about the jeep, along with the cover page (shown at the bottom). My Spanish isn’t so good, so I have to guess, based on the photos, that the article discusses the problems caused by groups of young women in bikinis roving the beaches of Uruguay. Oh, what terrible problem that would be!?!?
This cover was published as part of the April 1947 issue. Thanks to Christian (via Derek Redmond) for sharing this one.
Scott spotted this jeep in what looks to be an older Peanuts cartoon by Charles M Schulz. If you are in the Santa Rosa, California, area, be sure to drop by the Charles M. Schulz Museum. Pretty neat!
UPDATE: Still Available.
(04/30/2016) This looks to have an early CJ-2A grille.

“I have a 1949 Willys Jeep 33,192 original miles. Has a newer soft top that can be folded back. Good solid Jeep. Yellow in color. No rust holes some normal wear. But was used just to plow a driveway way up north. I did put a new master cylinder on it so it has breaks. But these weren’t made to stop on a dime.
Does need a new battery but with a charge fires right up and runs very good. I’m sure the seats have been redone as they are like new but who knows as the mileage shows it never went very far. And it does have the original plow on it. High and low range work good and 2 and 4 wheel drive works good.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5750.
“One owner vehicle purchased new in 1959. Only 20,133 miles. Received as part of estate when owner passed. Comes equipped with snowplow and Power Takeoff for implements. Many records included.”

Ted shared this story from last weekend: Sounds like they had a good time!
I’m sure you’ve seen a bunch of Eric’s collection of Willy’s Jeeps at his place up in NY. He is a great friend that I actually met through eWillys and has been buying a bunch of really great PTO related stuff from me over the years. Last weekend he took a trip down to see me with a few of his friends Todd and Todd’s son Conner, He also came to buy a really great little 52 CJ3A Farm Jeep complete with full PTO; complete Monroe three point hitch setup;,a set of Dual Wheel Adapters; front counter weight; Right Angle Drive Drum Pulley; and a couple of Cord Wood Buzz Saws. Super great hanging out with these guys and Im quite sure the Jeep and parts went to a good home.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500.
Seller appears to have multiple flatties.
“Mint 1947 willys jeep. Better than new. Runs starts and drives perfect. New tires brakes winch. Has overdrive and bigger brakes. Good jeep”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,900.
Looks like a fun cruiser.
“350 Chevrolet V-8 engine, Turbo 350 automatic trans, independent front suspension, 8″ Ford rear end, power front disc brakes, power rack and pinion steering. 12 volt, the motor has an Edelbrock aluminum intake & valve covers, HEI distributor late model Jeep wrangler sport rims, interior has an S-10 seat, electric wipers, heater, Pioneer CD/Bluetooth, CJ-5 gauges, hinged bed cover.
It has an older repaint, still looks good, but obviously is not flawless.
A few chips here and there, but perfectly presentable for a driver, slight crack in pass side window, (new glass included in the sale).
This truck is dependable, it runs, stops and drives great, it would make a perfect motorcycle hauler, cruiser or shop truck. ”
Includes the Warn winch and the jeep runs!
“Runs, tranny and transfer shift fine, rear end good. 4 cylinder 135engine. Best top and doors, decent shape.Older 8000 lb Warn winch. Windshield cracked , windshield frame rusted out. This Jeep was used on the beach so it’s rusty in places. I think the parts are worth the price, winch is probably $ 350 to $ 400 alone. $2,000 obo.”

Looks like a good price.
“Great Shape. Original motor and trans. Runs great. Always stored inside. Ready to be restored or just driven around for summer fun.
No low-ballers, not in a rush to sell. Taking up space and we only drive it a dozen times a year…”

UPDATE: Mike reports that this has the original body with the battery box removed.
“225 Dauntless V6 with mild Comp Cams camshaft and lifters
T90A1 transmission completely rebuilt
Dana 18 Large case with twin stick conversion completely rebuilt
2.5″ lift kit
Dana 25 front differential 5.38 gears, hubs rebuilt & resealed this spring, pinion seal just redone

11″ drum brake upgrade
255/85R16 BFGoodrich KM2 tires (33.5″ x 10″)
There are lots of new parts everywhere on this that I didn’t list; I have a folder with stacks of receipts and invoices for new parts. Runs, drives and stops well. Definitely not perfect, but a lot better than most ’52s out there. I don’t have to sell this, but I’ve taken on another Willys project and could use the room in the garage. I am just trying to see if there’s any interest out there.
Asking $10500 O.B.O, CASH ONLY. ”
