“1949 CJ2a need it gone, can’t work on it for at least 2 years so I need to get rid of it. It cranks so the engine isn’t seized and the tires do inflate. It has a F-134 engine instead of the L-134 Go Devil. I’m in Portland and you will need a trailer to move it. Comes with a sheet metal cab and doors, can be worth money by themselves.”

Bill spotted this tender-like wagon. Not much left, but still interesting to document.

$200/offer. Not tilte – bill of sale only”
UPDATE:**SOLD** Was $450.
To me, based on the large door and cab windows, this looks like a later model Koenig Hardtop, similar to this one. However, I haven’t run across a hardtop with instead rear windows quite like this.
“Rare Arctic Hardtop for early CJ2A or similar flatties”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
The hardtop might be the most valuable part. The jeep looks like it went through a fire.
“1955 jeep willy project non running lots of parts, overland full metal cab, roof, metal doors good glass, extra hood, ford 289 engine.”

This week the PNW4WDA is holding its 27th annual Trail Jamboree. It is a very popular event; tickets go online early each year and sell out within a day or two. I’d never had a chance to attend in past years, but this year Marty Tilford offered to give me a ride over the Shoestring trail.
This was something I couldn’t pass up. This was my 30th anniversary of my last trip over the same trail, an adventure I wrote about in Finding Virginia. So, on Thursday, I ditched my computer (and my wife) and headed for the Yakima area of Washington State to join Marty and his two four-year-olds for a ride over the mountains. I had a great time. Thanks to everyone who made me feel welcome!
Below are some photos of our adventure.
Bob Christy is putting on another jeep show this September 11th. I’m sure it will be another good one!

“It’s a 1946 cj2a with 4×4 and the original 4 cylinder motor and it all works as it should! She’s not a show truck by any means, but runs solid- starts every time the first time- and goes in and out of 4×4 without issue. I try to start it just and drive it every now and then to keep everything fresh. Tires have great tread all the way around and I have a tons of extra parts (Turn signals, mirrors, etc). I also do have the original windshield as well.
No serious rust issues. Normal surface rust in places and some crappy old bondo work on the fender, but that’s about it.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1100.
This has a VEC body. It also might have a rare Porter and Reed Type “B” Deluxe Half Top.
