“I’m selling my completely well maintained garaged kept 1948 Jeep Willys CJ2A. This is where it all began!! This was s complete frame off restoration. I’m only the 3rd owner of this classic Jeep which is extremely rare. Most times you buy a vehicle of this age it has had a dozen owners. I bought this from the 2nd owner’s privet collection in OH. Who bought this from the original owner in 1964. You won’t find a nicer rust free 2A on the east coast. Runs and drives great. I have a 8 page detailed parts list of what was replaced on this Jeep. Too much to list. I still have the original leaf springs, rims, and military tires it came with so if you want to switch it back. The picture speaks for themselves. Five brand new 32×9.5X16 tires on brand new 16X7″ power coated white one pierce rims. This Jeep is very well maintained and taken care of. . ..it’s my baby!!! Even the skid plates and exhaust under the Jeep had power coated black!! It also comes with a soft top and soft doors. This is definitely an eye turner. I love driving this Jeep around town. NY State registered & inspected with title. Please no low balls. . .if you need to low ball this Jeep isn’t for you. ”
Maybe the grill isn’t attached, because I can’t imagine why it would be installed forward of the fenders given there’s a V6 in the engine compartment.
“Ready for off-road or with very little work could be driven on the street. Has a 3.8 buick v-6 with header’s,4″lift and 33″ boggers. Body is rough but still very useable. Just do not have time to use anymore.”

This photo of a DJ-3A Dispatcher at an airfield shows they went to work for the airlines not long after they began production. This was published in a 1956 issue of Globetrotter Magazine.
This is season 1, episode 3, by Mark and Tom Smith of Jeeptruck.com from his series with Drew Norman at his Jeep Farm in Phoenix. Drew Norman does a budget makeover of a 1957 Willys Jeep Truck.
I wonder if this has an Air Force Data Plate?

Runs and Drives Great
New tires and Breaks

Given the solid rear and extra gas tank on the passenger side, could this be an aftermarket body? I recently found an ad for a California company that sold 2A/3A bodies with gas inlets on both sides. Maybe they did 3Bs, too?
“1961 CJ3B. I bought this about 15 years ago with dreams of restoring it ( with some improvements). The body work is done and it looks awesome. Entire body was straightened, sand blasted and painted professionaly. I had the body shop rhino line the underside and engine compartment. There is no rust or bondo.
I also had a new Chevy 350 in it. I believe it has a T-18 transmission. All I know is the top speed is about 45 but it will climb anything. The tires and rims have less than 100 miles on them. This is a cool jeep and if I had time for it I would replace the suspension. Over 15k invested in bodywork and paint alone. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1400. This may have the Con-Ferr rear bumper.
It doesn’t currently run, but looks like a great restoration project. The rear bumper setup was a popular mod in California/Arizona and can be seen on a variety of CJ-5s in 1960s Four Wheeler Magazines (I know this because I just bought four years worth of magazines and looked through them).
“Willy’s Jeep CJ5 Project. Frame is a 1956, body is a 1966. It has been in this configuration since the late 60’s/ early 70’s. Floors and tool box are solid. Has the 4 cylinder hurricane engine in it. Has been sitting for many years and needs to be gone thru, so it does not currently run. Engine does turn freely. Don’t know much else about it other than it has a stainless steel gas tank and has a tow bar (removeable with a couple of pins). Also includes a new old stock Carter Carburetor. Has a clear California Pink that matches the frame numbers. Body numbers have been run by a NV State Trooper and come back clear (have document). $1450.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000.
(07/21/2016) Doesn’t appear to be running.
“I have a rare 1961 Willy’s Jeep Pick up Truck FC-170, Manual 4-speed, 6-226 “Super Hurricane” was a L-head 6-cylinder.

Not sure if there’s much value here.
