Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (From the previous ad) “Caterpillar yellow covers this real life piece of 60’s history. Formerly driven by the Director of Field Training for the National School of Heavy Equipment, Charlotte, North Carolina. The school was founded by Gilbert S. Shaw in 1955 and operated until 1976. Apparently it was the first school of it’s kind in the world! It was painted for the school, then sold, had a 1970’s “restoration” and then sat for another 30 years. The 70’s restoration included a dash modification & a coat of ugly, drab tan. Our “restoration” process included many steps of hand sanding and polishing the entire vehicle to expose the school’s door sign and yellow paint job. Plus of course, clean up, repair, and history research..”

Has a Chevrolet Steering wheel & Power Steering pump. Front Seats are also aftermarket, New Battery, Runs Great, Very low geared but great four wheel drive, very light weight. Needs body work and some TLC but very rare. Also has newer BF Goodrich 32 X 11.50 r15 LT Radial Mud-Terrain T/A worth more than a Grand. Cash only, Will Entertain Reasonable offers only!”

“1946 Willys CJ-2a Jeep with 4 cylinder flathead engine. The engine appears to have been rebuilt or replaced. I have not been able to get it started as the starter will not engage. This would make a great Jeep for driving on the beach at Pismo because it’s rusted already. The tub is pretty rusty but the engine and chassis seem to be in good shape and the seat frames need upholstery. I do not have a windshield. When I bought the Jeep I was told it was running when it was parked some odd years ago. I have a clean title in my name and it’s registered on non-op as of July 2016.”

Another rough one.
“I have a 1952 CJ-3A Willys Jeep for sale or trade. From what I know about it has pretty much all the original parts. I dont believe the motor is seized up. There is quite a bit of body rust and several spots have rusted through. You will just have to come check it out because I dont know what all it will need to get it going. ”

Quite the crowd!
