UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500.
Needs restoration. Engine is out.
“I’ve owned this jeep since 1990 when I ‘rebuilt’ it. It is very original with matching body and frame serial numbers. I’ve also posted this for sale on the g503 website. It is NOT a ‘backyard junker’ for someone to hack up for a ‘rock-crawler’, or ‘jeep rod’. I have all replacement panels and was going to restore it, but family responsibilities and other jeep projects demand my attention. This jeep is an excellent candidate for someone to rebuild as a ‘motorpool’ project or factory restoration.
This was registered for 20 years until 2011 when I pulled the incorrect Kaiser Supersonic flathead to put in my plow jeep. I have a correct WWII MB block and Willys 440 engine for parts that I was going to rebuild for it.
Frame is solid, no rust as is most of the body. Front floors were replaced ‘eons’ ago before I got it. All canvas and tires in great shape. Only repro parts are top bows and hardware; choke/throttle cables; dash panel lights; and rear seat frame. Front tires mounted on combat rims with 3 other original combat rims included.
No title as Maine does NOT title older vehicles. I do have an official ‘certification of ownership’ I recently obtained from the state of Maine DMV.
Serious inquires only. I have been involved rebuilding and restoring jeeps for 35 years and know what I have. Twice in the past month I worked with two ‘buyers’ who both backed out at the last min. One was local, the other from Europe. Because of being burned, I will store, if needed, for 2 weeks from date of sale with a non-refundable cash deposit of $500.
I have over 150 photos to share if interested. Email for requests.”
