It’s needs some work, but this top can be shortened into a top for a CJ-5.
“Factory Jeep hardtop for a ’65 CJ6. This top is complete but has rust on the bottom of the sides. Only surface rust present except for the left & right side which are corroded as shown.
Very unique top as is fits both a CJ5 and a CJ6 – the center section removes for CJ5.
All windows intact, doors, and liftgate all complete and all hardware, hinges, etc are included.
Looks to be quite restorable with some repair to the sides, the PO had welded the top to the Jeep body.
No dents or damage other than the rusted areas as shown.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000.
No title. It’s a project or parts vehicle.
“48 Willys Jeep project started frame off project no papers just body, frame, trans, transfer case, drivelines, simple easy projects no time or money to continue my loss your gain $1000 don’t need your help to sell it no scammers please serious buyers only contact Rober”
No location was provided for this engine.
“I have a MB Willys engine that was removed from a Hobart welder. I do not believe this was the engine that was in this welder originally due to the fact that it was mated to a partial Jeep bell housing to make the fit. The engine runs and still carried a load before being removed from the welder. By looking closely at area near distributor where these engines are prone to crack, I can see a professional repair was made at some time to the block (repair is barely visible and holds). Serial number behind oil filter is MB546645, casting number 638632. Boss behind water pump correct 1/2″x2″. Engine has 40-50 psi oil pressure when running and no knocks, or crank chuggle. Cold compression is 70-90 psi across the 4 cylinders, bumps up to 110-140 once the oil gets to them.”
Maybe some value?
“1943 WILLYS JEEP….ROLLING CHASSIS AND TUB, no front fenders, hood, or grill, no motor, tranny or transfer case, comes with CJ windshield…tub is dented and a little rusty but great start on an original military jeep…axles and frame look to be in great shape… bring your own wheels and tires”
Needs work.
“I’m a 46 Willys ready to be finished building. my engine has been professionally re-built, ready for put together.”
I believe this document is pretty rare, given I’ve never seen another one. To help fund fund my jeep project I’ll be selling some of my brochures. This one is clean and in good shape. It came from Canada. It’s twenty-six pages. The models covered include the DJ-3A, CJ-3B, CJ-5, CJ-6, Wagon 4×4, L6-226, Wagon 4×4 F4-134, Delivery Wagon 4×4 F4-134, Truck 4×4 L6-226, Cargo Personnel Carrier, FC-150, and the FC-170. Each model is given two pages in a format similar to that shown below.
The January 1946 issue of Motor Magazine has an article about fixing the Army jeep.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Glenn spotted this one. Andy’s got this nice looking column shift for sale.
“NICE AND very RARE, 46′ cj-2a column shift Willys jeep serial #293xx. Nice overall condition, has been in barn storage for over 20 years.
What makes this unit more desirable is the fact that it is FACTORY built on a MB military chassis. Only a few hundred were built this way starting around serial number #29000.
Documented by a well known jeep expert, this is one of the batch of those hybrid jeeps. It is surmised that there was either a shortage of cj chassis or a bunch of leftover Military frames that needed to be used up…..not more then a handful surviving.!
Whatever the reason, this is not a homemade conversion….there are about 22 modifications done to the MB frame to make it useable for the cj2a. All brackets and mounts are custom made and factory installed. Even the machine gun mount was trimmed to fit the body.
Mostly all original with Minor civilian mods. 6v, Original chain drive engine, t90 side shift transmission.
Very rare full pto unit with drum pulley, original to the jeep. Has new bearings..
Data tags and frame tag are exceptionally nice and undamaged.
Clear title.
Has rust thru in the toolbox and some hat channels. Not a rust bucket by any means. Not all dented up.
Will need full restoration to bring it back to former glory. Had a quick cosmetic makeover done…
Don’t miss out on this super RARE column shift cj2a….not something you see everyday. It deserves a museum quality restoration.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $14,000.
No combat rims. Looks solid.
“1942 GPW Restored, rebuilt engine, brakes, transmission, transfer case, and new tires. Call to set up a time to view.”

Will not deliver.
Pick up and haul away. Anything and everything goes. Some items are yours for free if you can haul away.”

Runs, but needs work.
“1946 Willys Jeep, CJ/2A, flat head 4-Cylinder, twin sticks for Hi-Lo, 3-speed standard. All original still, some patch work has been done on outside body, floor is good, tires are old but hold air, and if you know these jeeps, you know you could probably use the tires for the life of it if used for deer lease or off road only. I have driven it around the neighborhood, runs and shifts great, needs brake work. partial trades considered, bangs, man toys. 4X4, old school trucks and cars, dune buggy.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $5000

Blaine found these photos on justoldtrucks.com on this thread http://forums.justoldtrucks.com/PrintTopic739.aspx It’s not clear if these were being saved or taken to the dump. The third pic shows a crane that was probably being taken to a dump/recycler.
trucks.com.
I thought the rims were unusual. I can’t remember running across these on any jeeps for sale.
