UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
Could be a good price, though the funky paint job could be hiding issues.

“1947 Jeep pickup truck
4cyl manul trans
very solid for the year

The one pic suggests it is in good shape.
“Restored from ground up. Everything rebuilt, motor, body, transmission will trade for a m37 or early 50s power wagon”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $950.
(10/02/2015) Craig spotted this VEEP for sale.
“This old Willy’s body is mounted on a 1960’s VW frame and driveline. The body is rusty but still may appeal to someone out there who likes these old trucks. I far as I know it still runs but realize if you are looking at this it’s not the VW portion that appeals to you.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $5800
(07/01/2016) Looks solid, but not restored to specs. Appears to have diamond plate on the cargo bed.
“1949 Jeep Willys –
Lovingly restored over a couple year period. Never left the 94010 after the restoration. Used to commute two miles to work, a couple days per week.
Fires right up, runs great, easy to drive.
Feel free to email or text with questions.”

For the past couple of days we’ve been having some good family fun at Ann’s uncles place. They have about 10 acres of flat desert that’s relatively uninteresting during the day, unless you have an ATV to explore the area, but at night comes alive with all types of creatures. Never a dull moment here!
Ann’s cousin Shelby found two things near the border of the property yesterday. A basketball and, of all things, a jeep grille, leftover from some mysterious plastic jeep. I can’t imagine why, but they thought I should have the grille. I guess it’s going up on my office wall somewhere.
Here are a few of the creatures we found at night:
Ken found this article and video about the Mini-Beep.
This could be a good price.
“1950 Willys Keep CJ3A

Great for fishing, hunting, or off road excursions.”

“This is a 1946 Jeep Willy re-built from frame up. Has been garaged since it was built in 1995. All parts are original and have photos depicting every detail as it was built.”
Dan spotted this nicely restored wagon. Despite the price, there is still a little work left.
“98 % complete needs a few final touches…Everything gone through…no rust, new paint inside and out, rubber, glass, headliner, white wall tires new or replated chrome original radio…rewired 12 volt system and electric wipers. Everything else is back to stock much more replaced. It has the F-6 161 Hurricane 685 Engine very rare 1952-1955. Sandblasted to bare metal professional paint job. This was a project I did while taking care of my terminally ill wife, she has passed and it is why I’m selling it. I’m willing to negotiate with shipping. A perfect parade vehicle…the PICs speak for themselves…I can email more. Call for more information.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
(09/12/2016) Runs and drives.
“I have a 1948 Willy’s CJ2A for sale. It is all original engine, trans and body. Has had recent paint job, not perfect, but looks good. Tires are 70%. Runs and drives great, fun little off roader! I have too many other toys and need to clear some space for winter. Shows 43XX miles. Odometer works, but speed needle is broke off. Comes with some documentation.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $200.
Bill shared this one. It looks like it pedal’s and drives, but also appears to need restoration.
“I ALSO HAVE A 1950s JEEP PEDAL CAR for $200.00”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $9000.
“Beautiful 1948 Willys Cj2a. The body (repro with 3a windshield) is super straight with ZERO dents and ZERO rust. I can say, “Excellent” condition. The old paint was sanded down; all the nicks and scratches were filled and sanded. The body was then primed and professionally painted. The color is Desert Tan 686 C.A.R.C. substitute. The floor is black bed lined. It has the original L-Head 134 “Go Devil” motor (runs great and quiet), Dana 25 front axle, Dana 41 rear axle, with 5.38 gears. T90 3 speed transmission and Dana 18 transfer case with Warn overdrive. Roll bar and seat belts installed. Brand new 12 volt conversion. All wiring cleaned up. All the lights, blinkers and gauges work. Glass is perfect. Seat covers are heavy canvas. Vehicle has been stored inside. Front hubs were added for better fuel mileage. There is also a white vinyl top in good condition (needs two new windows though). Registered and titled (clear) in Oregon. Has VIN #.
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1800.
(02/17/2016) Doesn’t run.

“Looking to sell my 1947 CJ2A, it’s been restored at some point and they did a nice job, body is straight and clean, rust free, it runs great, I’m sure it was rebuilt at some point, has a couple little oil leaks, not bad just marks its territory, kinda like a O’l Harley, tranny slips out of second when you take your foot of the gas, I have a deluxe rebuild kit for it, all lights work, paint is great and stops good, speedo and fuel gauge not working but all gauges are new just haven’t traced the problem out, won’t go but 55 so haven’t worried bout it, it has a 3A windshield on it I’m pretty sure, I put new leaf springs all way round it, it’s a good driver and ready to go, sure I left a lot out so come see it and take a spin, for way less than the price of a Polaris ranger and you can drive to church in it”
John found these photos within the Bundesarchiv in Germany and put this history together. Thanks for sharing!
The first one is in Berlin, taken June 1, 1948. the German caption reads: Amerikanische MP. fährt mit armierten Jeeps und Panzern am Tage der Währungsreform durch die Westsektoren Berlins. (American MPs travel with armed jeep on the currency reform day thru the west sector of Berlin)
The second photo has a similar caption and is dated the same day.
The third one is also in is Berlin, but it is dated in May 1, 1950. It is at the Brandenburg Gate looking into the Soviet Sector from the British Sector, which starts almost behind the jeep. The gate is actually inside the Soviet Sector.
The Gate today, from the opposite side.
Mark & Tom Smith just completed this video about George and his Army jeep Parts shop.
It takes a battalion to push a jeep?

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000.
I love this funky jeep. Looks to have started life as a CJ-5 or M-38A1. Then, someone with a welder and torch got a hold of it. Just bring it back to life and keep as is. It’s a great conversation piece of nothing else.
“I have for sale a jeep that I have used at my hunting lease. It is a tough vehicle that is entirely metal. It has both high and low 4 wheel drive and a hoist on the back. It has some slop in the transmission that can be fixed with adjustment of the yoke in the three speed on the floor. It has a Ford Falcon engine. It has been sitting in my barn but it was running when I drove there. Tires are good and the fuel tank is a new tank that I have in the rear cargo area. I replaced the carburetor a few years back and runs fine. Will make a great jeep for a hunting lease or just to drive around a ranch. There is no title and I don’t know what year model or make it is! I am told that this is a form military jeep but I don’t know what era it is from.”
This poor, sad jeep. There could be some parts value here.I love the “well-rested” comment.
“This is an original 1945 Willy’s first generation Jeep. as you can see in body is well-rested and frame is Rusted but all original engine drive shaft, and gears. The Engine is all there and been under cover. I have seen the gas can as well as instrument clusters go for several hundred each on eBay. It will need towed for Flat-Bed Trailer home. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $14,000.
