“1961 CJ5 100% original CA barn find survivor. Aftermarket factory installed hard top has never been removed. All windows and glass good and functioning. Everything works. Owner told me the Jeep had a re-spray in the 70’s but you can’t tell because it’s faded and the patina. Paint will shine with a buff and wax but I don’t like my cars like that. Took this in on partial trade as part of my collection but do not need it. It came with a Jeepster and some other parts I needed. Unmolested and uncut. No modifications. Original factory installed side steps. Drive as is or lift it. Head turner everywhere I park it. Brand new industrial battery. Brand new tires. Dropping off Monday (7/10) at carburetor shop to rebuild it, so it runs perfect. It has a little dead spot that I don’t like. No leaks. Engine bay is perfect. Zero rust. Original rubber floor mat. Push button starter. 4WD, locking hubs and transfer case all working. 12 volt vintage glass dome light installed but nothing cut or drill”
This may have a replacement body. Either way, it looks solid.

(10/08/2021) Blaine spotted this marriage between an FC-170 and a Corvette chassis. It appears there’s plenty of work left.

“1957 fc150 on modified 1981 corvette frame. Little to no rust, most metal work done. Have new windshield and rear glass. Doors repaired new floor pan. No engine or trans. Have stock dash. All reasonable offers considered. Willing consider to trade for farm quad +cash”
Matt shared this rare Perkins diesel. It has the correct serial number plate for a diesel, too. It does have rust.

“1967 Jeep CJ-6 with Perkins diesel engine. All original and minimal rust compared to most CJ’s of this vintage. Very rare Perkins diesel engine runs but will need rebuild. It will run but smokes excessively and is low on power. Injection pump and injectors have been rebuilt. Production numbers suggest that less than 600 CJ-6’s were built with the Perkins engine. The body and floors have rust in all of the typical locations but is not a total rust bucket. Please be familiar with the rarity of this Jeep before you criticize the asking price. Clear Pennsylvania title included. All low ball offers will be ignored.”
Jeff is selling this axle. Hopefully someone can use it.

“Dana 41 axle for 1947 CJ2A, 10-spline with tapered shaft. This is a Dana 41 axle for a CJ2A Jeep. The housing and axle tubes are in excellent condition. It has a relatively new ring and pinion along with pinion bearing and seal. The axle shafts are 10-spline with tapered ends for the hubs. I put new bearings on the shafts, but slots for the long woodruff key that holds the hub on is gouged out and would need repaired or replaced. Includes an extra long-side axle drive shaft that mate”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $13,000.
(06/272023) Seller wants to sell as a lot. Only the 3 2as and 1 CJ-5 are pictured (unless the pics confused me).

“1946 willys Jeep 2.8 GM V6 $3,600 located in northeast Nebraska”
The sellers of this are getting some evaluations of the powertrain before deciding upon a price. But, they posted it on Facebook. I’m not sure where it is located either.

Listed as a 1948, this has a column shifter. Looking at the interior pic of the left side, this might have had indents that were filled in. Unclear how much value is here given the engine issue and body rust.

“I have a 1948 Jeep Willy CJ2A The engine will need to be rebuilt and atleast one tire replaced. The front floor board has several rust spots. There is no windshield. This is definitely a project Jeep”
UPDATE: Still Available.

“I have a 1944 ford GPW body , hood , and side handles for sale. These are new from MD Juan. never used. These are not cheap.”
This has a variety of updates, including an unusual headlight setup.

“Rough shape, potential project! Have title which is huge with these old Jeeps. Unfortunately not the original engine, but fortunately it has a 5.8 liter motor from an 80s ford! Hit me up with questions!”
Unclear how much value is here. Look like some custom work just behind the front bumper.

“1949 Willy’s cj2a does not run have title”
Listed as a 1947, the body looks to be a Lefty, so likely a 1948.

“It needs work for restauration, it has motor and transmission, papers”
Thanks to Greg for spotting this one. Looks in good shape for the price.

“Nice running fun Willys Jeep, motor and trans been gone through, converted to 12 volt. Fun to cruise-“
This could be a good deal. I would follow the fuel line or clean the tank, as it sounds like something is plugging up the fuel given the description.

“Runs, Goes, Then Dies, Then Runs Again… Needs a little love from someone who knows what they are doing. Probably a simple fix to be reliable fun. Sold As Is.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $3000.
(07/15/2023) Nick’s selling this early CJ-5 trencher project.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/656189109866141
“This is a first model year 1955 CJ5 serial #13845. It has an original Auburn Jeep-A-Trench and the rare factory T98 4-speed transmission with granny low gear.
This style trencher is the gear-draulic which uses a hydraulic pump to raise and lower the unit. A driveshaft will slowly drive the Jeep while it trenches.
I’m told this last ran approximately 10 years ago. Engine spins over, but has low compression of 25-35 psi. Rings likely need soaked. I pulled the intake valve cover off and it looked clean.
Unsure of trencher condition itself, but check out Turn N Burn on YouTube where another trencher was brought back to life without much work.
Frame has patches as most trencher Jeeps do. Aside from the left rear corner dent, body is pretty decent for its age.
No title. Firm on price.
Bill shared this interesting story from Hemmings about a pre-war dual rear wheel semi-independent drive system that allowed for a relatively inexpensive way to modify consumer vehicles for wartime.

Jan out of the Netherlands shared this unique Perkins Brochure that highlights. I don’t have a date for it. I found one of these brochures for sale out of the UK and another one here, though it is priced higher. And, here is an M-38 for sale in the UK with that conversion.
Tom Rives posted the below photo on Facebook of an extended Willys Wagon used by the “Adventures Out West” as part of their jeep tours out of Colorado Springs. It looks like they may have several different types of jeeps in service.
According to Jim, Bernie is selling this amazing, one-of-a-kind FC hotrod pair. I’ve seen these in person and the craftsmanship is amazing.

We’ve all run across these examples (and the reason for the Last Ride category, which I’d forgotten about), but Mr. Binks shared this parts wagon priced at $2000! I guess if a fella finds a fool willing to fali for it ….
https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/pts/d/poplar-grove-1954-willys-wagon/7640031704.html
“PARTS TRUCK ! Still descent parts motor trans axles seats there , currently located in yorkville , Ill with be bringing to poplar grove I’ll by Rockford soon – text for prices or hole ?”
Mike shared this photo with me a few weeks ago during this trip through Texas. The wagon looked familiar, but I couldn’t place it, so I’d planned to circle back when I had some time for research.
I finally discovered why I recognized it. Tim Evans and his wife had their photos taken in front of it during their visit in 2017, which I posted at that time. Tim noted in his email to me that Magnolia Silos had been featured on HGTV, and those folks who know of the Silos are also familiar with ChIp and Jo Gaines (my mother was a big fan). The wagon is a popular photo op and you can see some of those photos here. Given we were in Waco in 2017, I’m not sure how we missed doing our own photo op there.
I also found a video online:
This project has been stored a while.

“Cj2a in good shape very solid body it’s been stored indoors for last 20 years. I did have this jeep running briefly about 2 years ago. New seats gas tank and fuel lines. Tractor tires do not go with the jeep. I will put different tires on the Jeep if it sells.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
Andy shared this FC with a hydraulic dump bed. The top price is listed at $2500, but the text price is $2000.
“This listing is for an early 1960’s Jeep FC-170 with factory hydraulic dump body. This Jeep has its original 6 cylinder flathead super hurricane engine. The engine still runs, but the carburetor needs to be rebuilt. The frame is sound, engine is in good shape, the body needs to be restored. It also requires all new brakes. The only thing missing are the seats. The hydraulics haven’t been used in many years and will also need restoration. Mileage may be inaccurate at 30,000+. Plow has been removed, but front bumper has not been reattached. 2,000 or best offer”
