Here’s a neat postcard image that John shared with me. Unfortunately, there’s nothing to indicate the year. Based on the comment that tops are available in canvas, plastic, and wood, this is likely a late ’40s postcard.

Motor completely rebuilt, new clutch and pressure plate, new gas tank and sending unit, rebuilt carburetor, brakes, wipers converted to electric, new battery, newer top, new tires and all lines have been replaced. Car runs and drives, very reliable. Floors and trunk is rust free and no visible rust on exterior. Paint is from the late 1960’s and has some scratches but presents very nice. Rare lightning six engine with manual trans and overdrive. Many spare parts including another set of rust free fenders, hood and grill. $8900 other pics available”

“have a 1948 Willy’s project Jeep for sale. clean title. I started this project a while back(Years) and after a lay off and pay cut, I hate to see it sitting along side the shed. I put 1970 jeep front and rear end underneath it not sure what gear ratio. the body is all ready primed . The tool box and bed have been fiber glassed,this was done by previous owner. I have a 4.3 V6 engine that needs to be rebuilt, four speed transmission and transfer case with all the adapters needed to put it together, new motor mounts, new headers and brand new gas tank for under the drivers side seat. I also havea brand new master cylinder and clutch all in one setup with under the dash peddles. You will need a trailer to haul the jeep. I asking 2000.00 OBO (Cash only) . ”
