Last night went late, so no updates today. Saturday will be the last set of updates for the year!
Brian shared this short eight minute video he saw on the TCM channel. If you like fish and CJ-2As, this is for you.
Seller mistakenly describes the engine as an F-134, when it’s actually an L-134.
“1949 Willys Jeep CJ3A, $5,200

Unrestored. Kept in Nevada and California during its life. Original body, paint, and mechanicals (as far as I know). Starts, runs, drives. Drove it this morning around town.

Plated and current CA registration through Jan 2018. Pink slip in hand.
Installed for better drivability/reliability: K&N style air cleaner, updated distributor internals, improved oil filter, and Optima battery. Have original air cleaner and other parts.
Dana 18 rebuilt last year, and Warn Overdrive updated.
General Grabber 31″ tires on powder-coated 15″ steel wheels.”

Has a ventilating windshield and a really early speedo cluster.
“A true classic ready for restoration. Original Owner. Used primarily for hunting in Eastern OR. and running around the farm in the valley. Mileage is correct. Motor Starts and runs. This was one of the first CJ5s built and has several military parts, including the split windshield and side mirror mount. Very unusual. Vehicle was stored in a barn and recently brought to Gibson Auto in Portland for full evaluation. Full documentation available. Over $700.00 spent. New Battery, points, condenser, fluids, etc. Installed alternative fuel source line to test engine. A great restoration project for the right person. Body needs repair, but overall most rust is mostly surface, except for two small spots below the door openings. I would probably replace the floor boards, Seats have been recovered. Needs new front right spring (I would replace all, but that one is broken) and a new gas tank and fuel lines. Gauges appear to work. Old convertible top needs to be replaced. Wiring works, but needs to be upgraded or replaced. Tires have good tread, but are old and should be replaced. Unique opportunity to own a true original vehicle and have some fun fixing it up! The vehicle has a tow bar, so getting it to its new home will not be too hard. Call for more information. I have a lot!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5900.
(12/13/2016) Seller believes this is a CJ-6 rather than an M-170.

It’s an M-38 that has a few MB items on it. The seller believes the windshield to be an MB windshield, but it appears to be an early CJ-2A windshield.

“I am selling my Willys M38 Jeep that was finished as a MB clone. This 1952 military jeep was built for the Korean war and is a true military jeep, but this one has the MB grille/bucket lights and older style windshield added.
Many new parts. The Willys runs and drives well and is parade ready. No oil leaks to speak of. Maybe one or two drips at the most. I drive this jeep every other day to the store and everybody honks and waves. This is a great jeep for you to have fun with the kids and grandkids as it has all the safety upgrades, such as blinkers, tail lights, seat belts, head lights, black out lights, and horn.
This jeep starts every time winter or summer. 4×4 works as it should. Not perfect, but ready to drive and have fun with. It cruises about 40 mph. The speedometer reads about 8 mph too fast so you’ll think you’re driving 48 mph! Clean Kansas Title.
UPDATE: Still Available.
If it runs it could be worth a look.

“1948 willys cj2a aluminum hard top with doors.
Plexiglas could use to be replaced.
It’s dented, scratched, and beat up, but hard to find.”
Craig spotted this PTO unit. I assume that bent handle was specially done for the FCs? Shouldn’t this shifter be attached to the PTO gear box?
“Have a very nice and hard to find Braden rear PTO for the old willys jeeps this one came off of a fc170. It is in take off condition looks very nice inside just minor surface rust. Spins as it should and shifts. Great addition to your restro
