“1953 Willys pickup truck. Great restoration project or Hot Rod. Frame mostly good, one cross member needs to be replaced (I’ve found one on Ebay for less than $100). Cab floors need to be replaced. Cowl and cab corners in good condition. Engine was replaced some time ago with a Buick Dauntless 6. Engine does fire. Fuel lines no good, so only put fuel in carb to get it to fire. Bed in ok condition, but needs a lot of work. I bought this for parts for another one I’ve been rebuilding, but didn’t need anything off from it. It has a dual rear wheel kit. No title, bill of sale only.

PHOTO CREDIT: Cliff. Look closely at the 1956 picture in the back. You can see the small petrol tank mounted in front of the windscreen. The jeep was started using petrol but the main tank under the driver’s seat was filled with TVO (Tractor Vaporising Oil) which was much cheaper.

(1) Body tub: not rough, repaired and re-repaired, but a good solid restoration candidate, HAS good VIN tag, will be sold on a Bill of Sale for that / with that VIN tag number. No major damage, splits or fractures. All the damage is confined to the floor pans which will need replacement. There is some plastic in the body at the various previous repairs, but used as finish and not patch. (1) CJ2A frame: front spring perches/arches are gone, that is to say that they were ripped off the front of the frame at the cross-tube assembly. No visible cracks at the stays or on the shock tower mounts. Back end has an over-sized hitch assembly mounted and welded to the frame in four places. Rear bumper is perfect, $500.00.
*I will discuss a package deal for everything, but I’m not negotiating by individual piece.

“What I have here is an old antique Army Jeep. It is a Willys M 38. It has all the military data plates on the dash. It has an unusual Military hard top with the data plate on it. It is called the Artic top. Somebody converted it to a 6 cyl Chevy engine. It it runs good. 4 Wheel drive works as it should. It has no breaks. Left rear brake line is leaking. I bought this with the intensions of restoring it. But I have to many projects and not enough time. If you are reading this then it’s still for sale.
