“I have a 1962 CJ3B for sale. The vehicle was to be a restoration candidate. Diving in to it, it is most likely best suited as a parts vehicle or custom vehicle. The mechanicals components seem to be in relative good shape but the tin, frame, and aesthetics are sub-par.
I have dismantled the vehicle completely (main components). Sub assemblies have been partially dismantled (transmission dis-assembled, engine ancillaries and head removed). Despite being dismantled, it is all there. What I have seen of the gears I have seen, they seem to be in pretty good shape.
The bad:
– The body is in rough shape. There might be some salvageable panels.
– The frame is in rough shape. The front end and cross member will need redone. The back half of the frame is ok.
– No seats or frames.
– No steering wheel but I will include one with the sale (not original)
– Never heard the engine run.

I made it across the mountains on Monday, now that the snow and ice has let up temporarily. And, that reminds me. We traded in Henry, our red 2012 Laredo Grand Cherokee, for a slightly used blue 2016 Limited Grand Cherokee a few weeks ago.
Henry was incredibly dependable over the course of 100,000 miles, but he was due some maintenance and new tires. Once we considered those costs along with the equity, we decided to get something newer that had the upgrades Ann wanted (such as heated seats). Best of all, our payments stayed the same. We still don’t have a name for him yet:

Yesterday (Tuesday), I spent the afternoon working on Rusty, triaging next steps (what needs what work done and fix-or-buy assessments). I’m also choosing some projects to bring back to Pasco. One thing I did was remove the bumpers and clean them up (not perfect, but good enough for the moment).
This sculpture of an Alligator biting a Willys wagon used to be at the entrance to Jungleland Zoo, which is now closed.

“1953 Willys pickup truck. Great restoration project or Hot Rod. Frame mostly good, one cross member needs to be replaced (I’ve found one on Ebay for less than $100). Cab floors need to be replaced. Cowl and cab corners in good condition. Engine was replaced some time ago with a Buick Dauntless 6. Engine does fire. Fuel lines no good, so only put fuel in carb to get it to fire. Bed in ok condition, but needs a lot of work. I bought this for parts for another one I’ve been rebuilding, but didn’t need anything off from it. It has a dual rear wheel kit. No title, bill of sale only.

PHOTO CREDIT: Cliff. Look closely at the 1956 picture in the back. You can see the small petrol tank mounted in front of the windscreen. The jeep was started using petrol but the main tank under the driver’s seat was filled with TVO (Tractor Vaporising Oil) which was much cheaper.
