Radiator needs replaced. Original parts manual included. Some rust on cab corners, rest of vehicle and frame appears in good shape. “1976 CJ5 project. New fiberglass tub, windshield frame, hood and fenders. (2) soft tops included. One soft top is new and in box still ($800). Drivetrain & frame are solid and have been painted black. Engine is original inline 6 cylinder and will need to be rebuilt. 33×12.50 tires are new and have never been on the road. (They have been sitting for a few years) No seats included but I do have a box of interior parts etc. No title, sold with bill of sale. This is a clean Jeep project and would make a fun toy for next summer.

Paul spotted this photo of a CJ-5 used to navigate the length of the 85-mile Delaware Aqueduct in 1957, still the longest tunnel in the world (construction photos). This was the last time the tunnel was navigate in its entirety. Because of the knowledge gained during their survey, the last living member of this party, Victor Feigelman, was consulted on the state of the tunnel up until his death in 2016.

If you zoom into the area just above gas inlet you’ll note the warning: USE WHITE GAS –ONLY–. The need to limit effluents inside the tunnel also explains the odd exhaust setup.

From Wikipedia, the Delaware Aqueduct … takes water from the Rondout Reservoir through the Chelsea Pump Station, the West Branch Reservoir, and the Kensico Reservoir, ending at the Hillview Reservoir in Yonkers, New York. The aqueduct was constructed between 1939 and 1945, and carries approximately half of the New York City water supply of 1.3 billion US gallons (4,900,000 m³) per day. At 85 miles (137 km) long and 13.5 feet (4.1 m) wide, the Delaware Aqueduct is the world’s longest tunnel.

“1952 willys cj3a . Well I’ve owned a lot of flatfender jeeps but never one with orginal paint. So, what I have here is a jeep that another jeep guy up in Washington purchased about 5 yrs ago from so. Ca.
Totally restored the undercarriage everything is new, motor, trans, brakes, seals, u can eat off it. But did nothing with the orginal patina of body except detail. Has OD, orginal gauges etc….optional Harrison heater not installed. This jeep shows no signs of ever having a top, no footman loops on sides of wheelhouse for canvas straps.no rust of any kind except surface in bed, U can see signs of the orginal primer on the cowl and tailgate areas. And no holes for a newer snap besttop etc,,,,u always see overrestored cjs, and over modified, this is a keeper for someone….why I’m I selling , something else came available……color is called Caribbean blue.. there are about 15 miles on this jeep since resembled last fall….10k or real close offer.. no tire kickers, bull shi…..ers”
