This June 14, 1945 photo shares the news that some kids in Florida received toy jeeps in exchange for selling the most war bonds.
Glenn shared this ad. It could be a good price given the new body.
“Well life has pitched me a curve ball and I need to sell my jeep. It is a 1952 CJ3a. It has been rebuilt from the ground up. The frame was sand blasted and hot dip galvanized. The engine, tranny, transfer, and both axles were rebuilt. The Carb was rebuilt by R. Pacholski (jeep carb wizard). It has a repro tub on it and is in excellent mechanical shape. Last summer it past a Maine State Inspection, which means it can drive over the road without any restrictions. The only thing it needs is paint. I had not painted it yet because I wanted to put some miles on it before paint in case I had to do more mechanical work. I am looking to get $7000.00. I have close to 12K into it.’
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5800.
This has a drip tray commonly seen on 3As. I wonder how high the VIN is on this.
“Original drive train, new winch (never used), spare window & other parts. ”
This may be a good price. I can’t tell if the driver’s floor was replaced or has a liner on it.

This is a friend of mine who was in a awful accident right before Christmas, and has had this jewel for a long time, and had plans to keep it. But because of Bills, is willing to sell. Has 178,000 on original speedometer, but motor was rebuild and only has 25,000 miles. Has been kept in garage, driven, and very much pampered. No trades, and PLEASE, NO INSULTS BY LOW OFFERINGS JUST BECAUSE. WE KNOW THE RETAIL VALUE AND WILL CONSIDER VERY CLOSE OFFERS BUT NOTHING CRAZY! THIS IS A MUST SEE!!! “1946/1959 Willys CJ 2A/3B “Dina”
Willys 1946 CJ 2A body with 3A windshield on 1959 3B frame. Old school Chevy 350 V8 and 400 Turbo transmission. Boxed frame in front. Dana 18 twin stick transfer case. Power steering.
Since I bought it I have completely gone through all the wiring except the dash and connected it into a new Painless fuse block. Connections soldered and shrink wrapped. Turn signals and headlamp dimmer switch rewired. Almost new 32″ Remington Mud Brute tires on steel wheels. 11″ brakes with dual circuit master cylinder and high-pivot brake pedal. Recent front end alignment. Engine always starts and runs strong; doesn’t overheat. Electric fan. Transmission cooler. Four wheel drive works fine. Body is sprayed on Rhino liner. Remote battery has cutoff switch. Full roll cage. Seat belts. Good condition full Bestop fabric top. Body tub is in good condition and needs only minor repair on a couple of the hat channels. Driver’s side rear wheel well cut in for increased leg room. Heater works but needs to be connected to fuse block. Gas tank moved to rear under body. New turbo mufflers hung with temporary hangers (older glasspacks shown on some photos). New front lock-out hubs. Emergency hand brake.
Needs tires balanced (shakes at 50 mph and above) and needs u-joint in steering column replaced, otherwise cruises fine. Has slow transmission leak.
I have a few spare parts to go with it.
I looked for almost a year before I found this classic and it draws crowds and friendly waves wherever I go. A total blast to drive. I am selling Dina because I need room in my carport for a new travel trailer.
Located near Augusta, West Virginia, about 30 minutes west of Winchester, Virginia.”
Have clear Maryland title; currently registered as a street rod so does not need to be inspected.
All serious offers considered.”

“Land Rover 2a 1963. Right Hand Drive. 2.4 liter petrol motor with 4 speed. Completely restored 3 years ago from bare chassis. Engine, gearbox and transfer rebuild. Less than 1000 miles driven since restoration. Capstan winch and Toro overdrive.
Vehicle started its life as a cab chassis and delivered to the Australian Government. It has had a total of 3 owners
The gearbox was completely pulled apart and checked. New bearings and bushes, new gears where needed, and new synchro’s. The main shaft was professionally set up due to the need to get the shimming right.
The engine was pulled down to a bare block, new bearings, and bushes etc. new rings. The bore was checked to make sure it had not been bored out and new pistons used. The head was taken to a shop and new hardened valve seats put in to allow regular unleaded to be used. The head was set up by them with new springs. Car starts up first time every time and runs great.
Clean Texas title and registration”

“1961 Willys CJ3B jeep
condition: good
cylinders: 4 cylinders
drive: 4wd
fuel: gas
title status: clean
transmission: manual
type: offroad
The axles with 4.27 ratio for road speed, transmission, and transfer case with 1 1/4 intermediate shaft are out of a 1971 CJ5. This jeep can run at 50 MPH and does not have the typical “whine” of the older jeeps, it is very reliable, has turn signals, dual brake reservoir upgrade with 10″ brakes, and a 6500 lb winch. The engine is very good with 40 lb oil pressure cruising speed and 10 idling and has an engine oil cooler. Tires are in good condition, good seats, it has some rust on the sides but the floors and hat channels are very solid. This is a very reliable jeep. Price is firm. I do not need help selling.”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $5500.
Could use a new windshield. Listed as a 1941.
“This is a nice 1941 GPW Jeep from World War 2. It has new tires new rear axles and the gas tank has been refurbished. It has been partially restored. The engine and drive train still need to be gone through. If interested please call”
Hard to tell exactly what’s been added, but one photo shows the dash has been customized.

“1948 Willy’s
2nd owner
Custom trailer with new tires >5 miles on them
Almost completely original.
Perfect project. Starts runs-
Needs tires, tune up and it occasionally slips out of 2nd gear.
I’ve always wanted one… husband sees the project going with new body etc. I want it with it’s blemished.
Need to make room… so it’s gotta go”
Craig shared this ad. It runs, but isn’t road worthy.
“Runs and drives. Flat 6. 3 speed manual trans. 4×4. Twin stick tcase. Very little rust. The odometer shows 89,000 miles. All original. .Its not road ready. But it is running and driving. Brakes are sticky from sitting. It could use a tune up (plugs, wires, points and oil change). Tires have cracking due to age. Leaks some oil from the fuel pump on the passenger side of the block. But it is complete and mostly original. Wouldnt take much to fully restore.”
