Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I drive this jeep to rausch Creek and Gore a couple times a year, wheel hard trails all day long and drive it home. It’s very smooth on the highway at 70mph and is extremely capable on the rocks.”

The jeep has been sitting at my Arizona river house for many years. The Jeep has always ran and was used for towing my boat back and forth to the launch ramp. The Jeep sat under awning and cover when not in use. The jeep needs work to get fixed up. It is a project and the motor isn’t original for the 1944 year. The brakes need to be bled to get working. Cab and plow are easy to take off in the spring, and hit the trails. last couple pictures show the cab off and different rims, I switched back to the original style.

Rebuilt L head a few years ago runs perfect. Rear end is Dana 44 with 1 piece axles. Dana 30 disc brake front end. Both locked, 5.38 gears. PTO winch, 32″ super swampers with a spare. Body is not great, but works fine. Has some rust and leaks oil. Original 3 speed trains and spicer 18 t case. Fun rig that is reliable. Offers considered in person only. ”

M38a1 military frame, which came stock shackle reversed and boxed/braced. Machine gun bracket cut off, rear draw bar/pto v bar cut out for 72-75 rear mounted gas tank. I do have original engine brackets for the f head 134 Willys engine.
Toyota 20r & 2wd 5speed that will run
Toyota 8″ rear end, welded w/ 4:10 gears and g2 wheel adapters to Jeep 5 lug
Dana 30 disc wide track front axle, 4:10 gears, open diff
Stock military m38a1 leafs (need bushings)
Toyota manual steering box
1974 tub in very bad shape, I would call it un useable
2 sets of front fenders and hoods in very good shape
Grill in ok shape but not restoration quality
Homemade windshield
It’s rough, missing things like shackles, some sheet metal and other pieces but with some work it could be a decent off-road toy, it did run/drive fairly well before I stole the original tub off it.
Needs, pedals, brakes, better steering column and wiring re connected, I have the pedals/brakes but they aren’t installed.
Comes with some soft doors, 2 sets of RANCHO shocks, other odds and ends

(10/02/2016) Starter needs to be replace. The engine very well could be stock, but not stock in that jeep. It’s a mix of MB and CJ parts.
