The Alaska Or Rust event continues to fill much of my time. This weekend I’ll be in Puyallup at the Moonshiner’s 4×4 Swapmeet at a booth explaining to visitors what we are doing and why. If you plan on going, drop by the booth. Just look for the posters below. I’ll have some books, eWillys t-shirts, and a pile of brochures you can browse. I’ll also have some Blaster products on hand.
We’ve gotten some additional sponsors on board. As I mentioned before, Kaiser Willys will be a sponsor. You can take advantage of their discount by going to Kaiser Willys, purchasing items, and entering “ALASKAORRUST” into the shopping cart. You win and we win!
We also just signed up the B’laster Corporation, perhaps best know for their PB B’laster penetrating spray. If you have a can of that or any other B’laster product, put it on your jeep and take a photo of them, then twitter or instagram with the hashtags #alaskaorrust, #ewillys, and #BlasterFreakinWorks. Or, post it to the Alaska Or Rust Facebook page. Or, email the pics to me and I’ll do it on your behalf!
Chris McKay Vintage Jeep Parts and Jay Hinton WWII Jeeps also are pitching in as sponsors. We greatly appreciate their support. And, thanks to Allied Jeeps and Overland Diesel, who are sponsors I’ve mentioned previously.
James spotted this unusually modified truck.

It has a 30-inch light bar now that under the windshield with two cubes for backup lights. Fresh oil change and plugs. Completely solid front to rear barely any rust also. Looking to trade for drivable lifted Cherokee or trucks”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
Craig spotted this one. There’s some jeep underneath. If it is really a ’53, it must be a CJ-3A or 3B. An M-38A1 would have the front springs reversed.
“1953 WILLYS JEEP 4X4 OFFROAD FUN. HAS 4 CYCLINDER 3SPD. $3500.00 B/O”

Also comes with a working plow. Truck was last inspected in 2007 and has only been used to plow a driveway for past 10 years. Truck needs restored. “For sale is a vintage aluminum hard top and doors for a Jeep Willys CJ3A. Hard top and doors were painted camo by the previous owner. I got them with the Jeep, but decided to go with a soft top instead. So, I’m selling the hard top and doors. I hate to part with them because they are really hard to find, but I don’t think I have a use for them anymore. They will need some repairs, a new paint job, and the glass should probably be replaced, but everything is in relatively good condition. A good starting point for your project. I believe these were originally sold by Sears company back in the day. Not something you see every day”
Seller has a variety of parts.

(02/01/2017) It’s a project.
“The picture with me in it is when we bought it. The drive train is there. It is partially dismantled, as seen in the photos. Everything is there to get it on the road. Fenders, hood, tailgate, blinkers, headlight assemblies, roll bar, seats. Previous owner said the motor is a 283. Body has some dents and dings, but overall very solid. I think we still have wheels.”
It’s not a long video, but this is a fine looking CJ-5 fire jeep.

Needs some steering work. Still, might be a good price. That fender lip looks a little thin.
