“1950/51 Willys M38. Last flat fender military jeep, designated as a Willys model C (MC). Clear Texas Title This jeep is mostly complete. The engine has not been run in several years but did run whenparked. It is not frozen. The body is rusty with extensive rust in front floor boards and right
front lower cowl. The body can be restored as body panels are available. The transmission and transfer case are present and worked when parked. The engine is not original to the jeep but is the correct style 134L Willys engine.
Steering gear box has been removed and needs to be rebuilt.
The military data plate shows a serial number of MC10427, the Willys Patent Plate shows a serial number of MC10485. This would place this jeep as being between the 419th and 477th one built of approximately 63,000. I have a clear TX Title for the vehicle.
I am asking $1000 for the jeep. I can help load or can deliver within 500 miles for $1.25 a mile prepaid. ”
Project.

“1947 Willys CJ2A. This is a complete Jeep – some assembly required! I started on this project about 10 years ago with a decent unmolested barn find jeep. (The last inspection sticker on the jeep was 1965 so it believe it had been sitting in the barn for that long) It was disassembled and sandblasted. The original body has been professionally repaired and is ready for paint. The body and tailgate numbers match. The frame is nice, front horns are good, with the original gussets. The engine is correct however it has been disassembled for a rebuild. (New Pistons, valves, springs, gaskets included) Fenders, hood, grille, windshield frame, seat frames have been blasted, primed with DP90 and are all in good condition.
If you are looking to do a correct restoration on a CJ2A, this is the jeep for you to start with. If you just want an old willys that looks like an “army jeep” then you should look elsewhere. A reproduction body kit runs about $3700. For another $1000, you can get a correct ORIGINAL body kit with a clean PA title and the rest of the jeep. I will add pictures as I dig the rest of the stuff out of the barn. I will start with Craigslist and if it doesn’t sell then I will move to ebay. Serious inquiries and phone calls only please… (emails and bs texts will be ignored)”
Just a few updates tonight ….. This early video shared by David shows a few modified flatties. The film footage was taken by Frank Parks of Rockville, Maryland, in Florida in the summer of 1960.
Nice vintage CJ-5 commercial shared on Facebook.
Has a non stock speedo. Email meganlynnrobinson@gmail.com for inquiries.

Sylvia Porter was a financial guru of some renown in the 1960s. We think this might be an actual Gala from Las Brisas.
Dave’s got this nice wagon for sale.

“Owned for 27 years. Selling, as I just don’t spend the time on it that it deserves.
Starts, runs and stops, but the engine and drivetrain are old and tired. Brakes are new all around.
Slave cylinders, Master, pads and clips. Parking brake cabling is free and works. Wheel bearings are in good shape, and all 4 recently rebuilt and repacked (left rear replaced). Needs shocks replaced. Especially the back ones. Guy that had it before me, lifted it all around about 2 inches, with “not bad” work. But that means the shock throw is “not standard”.
Wiring is all new. Put in a fuse block as well. Winch is a 12,000lb mechanical from the Power Takeoff, and works like a champ.
4wd all works, locking hubs are smooth, kingpin bearings real nice, and the front knuckle seals newly replaced and serviced with the proper lube, so it doesn’t just ooze right out. Steering gearbox centers up pretty nicely, but it too is simply “old”.
Could be a good price.
