Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1948 Press Photo King Paul and Family Stroll Around Tatoi with American Jeep. This is an original press photo. King Paul of Greece takes his family for a ride in their American made jeep during a relaxing moment at their country home at Tatoi in the Hills near Athens. In the front seat with him is Queen Frederika and in the back are their three children. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 10-16-1948.”

(03/08/2017) Runs, but needs some work.
“Here’s a nice, 2 owner Willys barn find! 1959 Willys CJ3B. Looks to be original miles! Has had a minimal amount of body work done in it’s lifetime, and has obviously been repainted, but appears to be the original color. The tub and frame are in excellent condition. Starts and runs okay, but needs some TLC. The drive train is a little noisy too. Has the factory heater/defroster. Windshield is broken, as is the driver’s door window. Top easily removes with two people (looks much better without the top in my opinion). I have the old-school Illinois title, which was issued in 1976 when the previous owner bought it from the original purchaser. Come make me an offer!”

“For sale or trade willys jeep. This jeep has a brand new 1942 style body with a 1947 CJ2A chassis and running gears. Completely restored too many parts to name. The motor had $1000.00 of machine work. Transmission re-built, transfer case rebuilt. New tires new gas tank. New wiring. New shocks. New universal joints. New exhaust system. New carbuerator, all new brakes just to name a few items. Bill of sale only.

“I have parts to a Willys Jeep Forward Control 170. I am parting out or sell as a whole. Frame is in good shape except for two cracks which are easy to fix with a little welding (cracks as shown). The engine is locked and the radiator is damaged.The parts that are for sale:

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $17,500.
Looks solid.
“1942 GPW, the Ford license-produced Willys MB of WWII. As you can see, this GPW is well-restored but the work is about 13 years old. It has been well-stored and used monthly for re-enactments and living history events. The restoration was frame-off. Engine idles smoothly and maintains 30 lbs oil pressure. The jeep drives very nice. Frame and original data plate match title, but the engine is a later war GPW serial number. There is some minor corrosion around various parts/pieces which is visible in photographs. Mileage is an estimate. There are a number of extra items that come with the jeep, parts and accessories, and we will show those to prospective buyers when meeting.”
