Gayland spotted this former government vehicle. It could use some loving. It has several neat data plates.
“1966 JEEP CJ-5 For Sale. For $1500.00. Engine is unassembled and in rear of JEEP. JEEP was built for the Government. Has a warranty sticker on dash from Kaiser Jeep to the Government. Has a Government Data Plate on the dash. It is equipped with a 540 PTO on rear. The previous owner said that the person that he bought it from said it was used to mow grass at a park. The paint has a nice even patina and would look good preserved as is. More pictures added. The rust near the Department of Agriculture decal is the worse spot on the out side of the body. If you were going to restore a 1960s Jeep this would be a rare and interesting one to restore. I have added a picture of the Kaiser JEEP Corporation’s Special Sales Order Plate.
Price reduce to $1250.00 before it goes into the woods for another 10 years.”

Has custom driveshaft and all ready to go to swap in another. spring over lift, 31″ tires new still have nubs. corbeau fixed back seats. multiple colors green. power 350 automatic transmission, new aluminum radiator, two boxes worth of new parts (gauges, windshield wipers, handles, gun racks, radio stuff), box full of new replacement windows still in packaging. service manual, parts catalog, and file listing 10 years of documented work. “950 willy pick up truck for sale. Pretty Straight truck. Motor turns over with key. Haven’t had a chance to try to get it running. Comes with extra set of doors and everything in the bed of the truck. It has the over drive. Been sitting under the carport since we got it. Does have some rust in lower door inside truck. -see pictures.
Had it sold to my brother, but he had nowhere to store it but our place. So he said he had to pass on it. Title in hand. It has a clear title with all matching numbers.
This truck belonged to my father in law. So I took as many pictures as I could, because I am not going to have all the answers to questions. $2200 cash only. No low ballers. This will be a great project. Thanks”

This 35 page book looks interesting. It’s a reprint, but may be an old reprint.

– kelly all steel bonanza II cab in great shape rare in this part of the U.S.
– the body shows its age and has had patch work done and the gentleman who had it obviously loved it and kept documentation from when he purchased it in 1964.
– front and rear diff recently replaced
– motor and trans in great shape, shifts and drives great for 55 years old. Last registered in Tenessee in 2016, needs a few things to be done to pass inspection nothing expensive or mechanical. I’m currently working on them so your able to get it running down the road ASAP.

Doesn’t run and the key is lost, but could still be worth a look. Might have been ex fire jeep given all the red paint.
“I have a 1953 willy’s m38. It has 40,000 original miles. I’ve owned it for about 6 month. Absolutely no rust. The gentleman I bought it from had it since 1963. It does run but I lost the key and battery is dead. It has a brand new warn m8000 winch on the front. Seats are in great shape and tires hold air. Bill of sale only as the man I bought it from lost the title.”
