Robert Flores shared these cool doodles.
Tim’s been working on this M-170, bringing it back to stock. One feature he really likes is the Metro Engineering and Manufacturing Top, which was extended to fit his M-170. Tim’s searching for some M-170 seats (probably the same as M-38A1 seats?? Can someone clarify this??).
“I’ve converted the engine back to 24 volts. The unique thing with this M170 is the top. It’s an M38a1 (I think) top that was cut and stretched 20 inches next to the door. Who ever did this did a great job. I like this better than canvas tops. If some one needs measurements contact me. One photo has the tag info on the top.”
The lighting of this photo looks perfect.
“1943- Jeep loaded with U.S. troops passes the body of a Japanese soldier on Makin.

Blaine spotted this collection of four hundred vehicles for sale. At least one is a later model CJ-2A.
Could be a good price. Seth spotted this one on Facebook. Has “plow brand new only used once”.
Given the new stuff, this is worth a look.
“It’s with great regret that I have to sell my jeep Willys before I could get to it. I have another build that’s going to take all of my attention this year. Literally selling this for exactly how much i have in it which is $3200 firm! I have $1000 in new era correct rims and tires. $700 in restoration parts and paint. As well as a new gas tank. Clear TN title. 1947 jeep Willys drum brakes are disconnected or inoperable. I have only found a couple surface rust spots on the frame. Which is amazing for a cj2. Previous owner said the jeep drove to here house two years ago on its own and was under a tarp ever since. Overall great shape, will be worth a lot even partially restored. Do a broad search you won’t find a better deal!”
Will need engine work or replacement.
“In garage for a few years and one cylinder froze up on me. Everything else is good. Comes with a spare chassis with block. You will have to haul it on a trailer. Make me an offer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $600.
There seems to be value here.
“Here is a rolling chassis, tub, radiator, transmission, and other Willys parts for sale. Would make a great project!”

(04/15/2017) Cargo area has a diamond plate floor.
“My uncle has decided it’s time to part with his jeep and has asked me to help him sell it. It is a 1952 willy’s cj3a. 4 cylinder motor, spicer dana 44 posi-trac rear end, t-90 transmission with a warn overdrive. It also has a pto winch. The heater and wipers work. He has had this jeep for along time, at least 30 years and probably longer. He has told me that he rebuilt the motor, painted and undercoated the body since he bought the jeep. He had to have done this sometime soon after he acquired the jeep because I don’t recall him doing anything like that for some years. He is in his 80’s. Anyhow this jeep runs like a top.
I went for a short drive the day I took pictures and it’s incredible to me how smooth everything ran and shifted and also how quiet it was. I didn’t see any rust in any areas other than where your feet sit on the floorboards. The rear of the tub has been replaced with diamond plate, before my uncle owned it. Included are the rear seat and all the bows for a top as well as the door frames. The jeep also has a am/fm radio and a cb radio. I took about 15 pictures which I can send to serious buyers. The jeep is located 2 hrs from my house, so I can’t show it to everyone and will have to plan showings out in advance. Serious inquiries can call. Thanks for your interest. Mike”
UPDATE: Still Available.

The other day I spotted a set of 5 new Super Traxion tires and 4 all season tires mounted on four jeep rims for only $600 on Craigslist. The Traxion tires were perfect for his jeep and the four all season tires were great for Rusty, as both of us are headed to Alaska. Wade and I joined forces and bought the tires. Two days later, he and I met in Bellingham, Washington, so I could give him the tires and enjoy some Mexican food for dinner. At dinner, Wade gave me the follow sign and stickers he had printed up at his sign shop. The sign has a thick aluminum backing. It’s great! The Dispatcher Magazine shows the size of the sign and the stickers.
Thanks Wade!
