(08/27/2010) “1960 Willys Stake bed. Motor runs but vehicle needs work. Great chance at a low production Willys. Only 604 made this year. Will consider trades for 4×4 atv or maybe a dirt bike.”
The body does look rough, but this runs and moves. It’s too bad the body is rough, because from afar, the stenciled names looks nicely rustic.
“Runs and moves.Super hurricane six cylinder.Rough body.Make offer.Can deliver.(574)876-8326”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500.
“1952 Willys Pickup truck. 20,000 Original miles. Solid truck. Starts, runs and drives good. Mostly original except for air filter. Everything works. 4-wheel drive with 2-speed transfer case. F-134 engine. New tires and brakes. New clutch. Vacuum wipers work great. New distributor. New fuel/ vacuum pump. New water pump and thermostat. Original 6-volt system with new wiring harness and voltage regulator works great. New plugs and wires
If you are thinking about putting a lift kit or shiny new low-profile rims on this don’t call me because I will not sell it to you. $7500.”
Colin’s friend Al has got a nice collection of Willys. Colin forwarded a few pics of Al’s jeeps with some notes. Nice looking vehicles Al!
Colin writes, “I attached a photo of a CJ2A [al toy] that I did for a buddy of mine sitting on the hood of his August-built 1945 CJ2A with column shift, rebuilt with a lot of the leftover MB stuff that Willys used to get the first CJs on the road.
Al also has a 47 2WD wagon, a 49 Willys truck and a 49 Jeepster that is undergoing a repowering with a 55 Chrysler 331 Hemi, 727 trans, Mustang II front suspension and 56 Corvette rear end. Aside from body work and paint, Al does all the work himself and does an excellent job. The shot of the wagon with whitewall tires is the same wagon. Amazing what a set of wide whites will do for a car.”
UPDQTE: **SOLD** Was $18,500.
I’ve spent a good chunk of time in Watsonville. I built a ballet studio there. I actually danced in a Nut Cracker Ballet during that period, too. That was for ex-wife #2. Hmmm … Let’s talk about the truck instead …. Here’s a beautiful truck. Check out the bumper in the last pic.

(08/21/2010) Last night I spotted this Truck for sale. The seller, Brian, doesn’t provide much detail, however he does provide a link to stories about his Truck. And let me tell you, they had me laughing (in that kind of Oh SHIT manner). For example, two stories involved failed brakes in precarious spots. Oh, and throw in a 15ft drop over a rock face and, well, you get the picture. Visit Brian’s Willys Blog.
“Back in the Spring of 1976 I bought my 1960 Willys Jeep pickup. It’s been at the center of many fine adventures, including driving it to Seattle from Bozeman in 1980. Recently, though, it’s pretty much been relegated to my garage and I think it’s time find someone who can care for the old guy the way he deserves. You really need to see this truck to to fully appreciate this virtually all original vehicle. If you’re interested in some of the adventures see my blog at http://geezergleanings.blogspot.com/ I’ll be around most of this weekend. If you want to check it out let me know.”
It runs, but appears a bit rough.
“1954 Willys P/U 4X4 – Original – rebuilt 6cyl Flathead – RUNS and Drives – Needs tune-up, exhaust etc. – Great Restore Project – Parts are still available for this gem – I Purchased it to restore, however life happens and cannot do the project. Title in hand.”
Some really would make this truck shine I think.
“4wd Jeep pickup straight body and frame needs a “little” paint and TLC. Call Reed (208) 834-2063″

It’s not your everyday Willys Truck.
“this is a 1949 willys jeep truck , I have just lost intrest. everything you see was built about ten years ago. this jeep has a nova subframe, four link rear suspension with coil over shocks. i believe the motor mounts have been moved to fit a big block. the wheels are centerline warriors, the front wheels are new in box, also i have a new set of phantom autometer guages, and a new 16 gallon fuel cell with straps. all body work was 90 percent complete ten years ago. this jeep needs a new home and i need the extra room. this jeep would be a one of a kind”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
Intrepid, on-the-go remote reporter Benjamin found a couple of jeeps in Williston, ND. You’ll have to call the phone number to find out more info. Thanks Benjamin!
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500
The seller knows the front gear ratio, but not the back. That’s some honesty, but ya have to wonder why? The drive train sounds good if you need a crawling truck.
“Chevy 400 inch small block V8. Aluminum manifold w/Holly 4 barrel carb. Headers with new Flowmaster dual exhaust. SM420 4speed. 7.05:1 low gear. Modle 18 t/case w/Warn Overdrive New rear drive shaft. Ford 9″ rear axle, ratio unknown. Original Dana 27 front axle, 4.88:1 ratio w/posi. Saginaw power steering. Project with alot of potential.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500.
Here’s an example of a truck on a suburban frame. Trucks sure get put on all kinds of different chassis’s!
“Have a 1962 Willys truck that has been put on a 1978 suburban frame, So it has a 400 engine with 350 transmission, power steering, 6 inch lift, 35 inch tires. Has guages and new seats, dual exhaust, the body has durabak (Rhino Line) inside and out black and orange. Automatic transmission, Runs really good and is huge, gets looks everywhere.”
UPDATE: Still Available. The seller now notes this is not road worthy.
(05/26/2010) This is an unusual willys truck. Anyone recognize it? Is this a custom job?
“runs, trans and transfer work good, motor tired flathead 6cyl gm i think call Bruce 970-669-7985 This is basicly a parts vehicle it is not road worthy ”

It’s a bit dirty, but it might be worth a look. It appears in good shape. I wonder if those terra tires are included.
“restored, warren bumper winch, rear rumble seat, original flat head hurricane 6 engine restored, garaged at Forest Lakes, AZ last 15 yrs. $5000 obo”
Here’s a nice truck spotted by George that I believe is located in the UK.
“A few years ago, Dean [ed note: current owner?] asked Paul Barry at Willys America in Cazadero, California, to restore the truck for use as a promotional machine for his quarry. He wanted it mostly original and usable as a daily driver.
The truck body needed quite a lot of minor restoration, but basically it was sound and in good shape. However, the bed was another story. The Spicer transfer case with two levers mounted in the floor, swings power out to a Spicer 25 front axle and a Spicer 53 rear axle. Both axles have 4.88 gearsets. Built on a conventional 118-inch wheelbase chassis with Ross steering, multileaf springs, single action tube shock absorbers, drum brakes and 16-inch steel wheels capped with LT235/85 R16 mud and snow tires, the Jeep truck was almost as simple as a Model T Ford.
The Jeep also features a matching side-mount spare on the bed. Attached to the Tornado six-cylinder engine is a T-90 three-speed floor-shifted manual transmission, which in turn uses a Warn All-Range Overdrive and a two-speed Spicer 18 transfer case. The Jeep truck was a very practical setup and its basic nature surely helped make it the do-the-job work truck it was known to be.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was auctioned.
