Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a RARE 1952 Jeep Willys Pickup truck with a 1950’s Ford flat head V8 engine swap, the body has about 500,000 miles on it and I would guess that the engine has about 200,000 but is still in great shape and sounds pretty awesome, it still has the original 3-speed Manual Transmission with 4WD High & Low. This was my great grandfathers truck, so it’s been in the family awhile, it was last registered in 2002. It doesn’t run right now, so it would have to be towed. I had it running last summer, it basically only needs a battery and a rebuilt carburetor to get it running. Believe me this is a great project truck for anyone who has the time and money to get it done. I am asking $3000 o.b.o

“All original,motor runs well and is very quiet.4wheel works fine,does pop out of 2nd gear on hard decelleration.Body is in great shape,and interior has been redone.New cooper tires and brakes work fine.Truck was sold new as a cab and chassis,which means it did not come with a bed.One was added at some point and goes with the truck.Currently there is a flatbed with stakes on it.Miles are somewhere around 60 or 70 k.Recent paint,truck had almost no rust,which is very unusual.Pretty nice truck,will get you lots of looks and smiles.Negotiable at some point.Would look great with a big bow.”

The Techatticup Mine camp was established 1861. The camp is part of the oldest, richest and most famous gold mine in Southern Nevada. Now a tourist attraction, it includes an old Willys truck and, in some photos, a wagon.
The Techatticup Mine camp is located just outside the small town of Nelson Nevada in Eldorado Canyon. It is well reviewed on Trip Advisor. Businesses in the area offer historical mine tours and scenic blue water kayak trips on the Colorado River at the mouth of Black Canyon below Hoover Dam.

“We are moving and have decided to sale this old truck. The truck was running last year but needs the carborator cleaned and some new gas. Not sure if it needs a new carborator or not because it has been setting for over a year. We had it 90% restored a few years back. We also have a 1958 Jeep Willy’s for parts that we will let go with the sale of the 1963. All parts on 1958 can be used on 1963. The 1958 (parts truck) is missing the bed to the truck but has motor. The 1963 (Truck shown in pictures) has it’s original Title and still has the original drive train so top speed is about 45mph. It also has a custom galvanized bed that is specified to the original bed that came on the original truck. The engine is a Super Hurricane 232 flathead 6 cylinder. “In ’48, Willys built three versions of the pickup. One had a regular bed, one had a flatbed, and you could buy one without a bed to customize anything you needed like an ambulance, firetruck etc. This has a flatbed.
As far as I can tell, this jeep has lived its life on a farm in South Texas where it’s hot and dry. There is no rust that I can find so this is a very solid platform. Luckily, virtually every part on these old Willys Jeeps is available through a variety of sources and I’ve replaced or rebuilt many of them. You could take this truck any direction you want. Leave it the way it is and have a ball with it. Or take it all the way to a totally restored model with new shiny paint etc. and it would be worth something in the mid $30Ks. Continue reading

“1955 willys truck restored 11 inch brakes all way around with stainless steel line with wildwood proportioning vaule power brakes. Engine is a 231 v6 jeep buick dauntless eng with 4 barrel intake and carb with factory headers full dual exhaust .transmission just rebuilt new parts down to the synchronizers same for transfer case. The rear axle is the timken clam shell has new seals front is dana with closed nukles. Power steering was added along with flaming river steering . Frame is powder coated new wiring box with all up grades new tail lights blinker markers and lights and head lights .inside has original gauges on 6 volt system with a converter the truck it self is 12 volt system with a gm alternator .
