“1946 Willy’s Jeep and M-416 Military Trailer
Clean…must see. They have some back taxes from not being driven much recently.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was listed at $300.
Doyle spotted this trailer. It looks like a good price if the rust isn’t too bad.
“i have a military trailer in pretty good condition, good tires, heavy duty trailer, title in hand, 1inch7/8 ball…300.00 or best offer”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Originally listed as a 1947, the buyer discovered a data plate indicating it was a 1943.
“1947 Willys Military Trailer
Good restoration project. In good condition. Model MBT 1/4 ton trailer.
Has current PTI plate. Any questions please call.
Asking $850 or best offer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2200.
“I have a fairly complete, original, unrestored, and solid WW2 1943 Willys MBT trailer. It’s been painted a few times. But a quick pressure wash revealed the original OD, USA numbers, stars, and unit markings. We have plenty of restored Jeeps and trailers out there, and this one should be cleaned up and preserved as is.
The only parts missing are the two rear reflectors, wiring and both tail lights. Original lunette, chains, drawbar, leg, hand brake, dataplate, fenders, combat rims . . . and the kicker . . . NO tail gate!
I’ve had this for over a year, and actually used it a few times to haul plastic bottles and cans to the recycling center. It tows great and the hand brake works as it should. Current California PTI registration to my name. The previous owner had a coupler hitch attached, but fortunately used the original holes up front. I just recently removed the drawbar, leg, and lunette for storage. But you get everything shown in the photos.”
Tom Perkins’ company Treeline Teardrop Trailers out of Petaluma, California, offers both road and offroad trailers. Tom’s considering the purchase of a CJ-3B, which I think would look good pulling on his trailers. Here’s an example of the offroad one below.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $15,000
Bill’s willing to sell his jeep for the right offer.
“I am thinking about selling my 1952 willys m38 and just want to see what interest is out there for it. It is a good running driving jeep. The engine has less than 1000 miles since it was rebuilt last spring. It is still 24 volt. Everything but the fuel gauge works. Tires are also new with about 1000 miles on them. The paint is not perfect but good for a driver jeep. I would be looking for $15,000 or best reasonable offer on this jeep. You could not build one for less. The photos show a winch on it, the winch would not be included with the sale. It is painted the original USAF strata blue. The trailer pictured as already been sold.”
This appears to have a MB/GPW replacement body and a M-38 windshield. For some reason the windshield isn’t pulled tight to the cowl.
“A fully restored in great condition 1946 jeep/willy with a trailer. Fully restored. Comes with the top cover and trailer, gas tanks, extra radiator, spare tire and much more.
For more info please contact me at 573-778-0605- Stephen”
UPDATE: Still Available
(11/19/2013) It includes two combat wheels.
“This is a WWII military Jeep trailer manufactured by Bantam in 1945.
It is in very original and complete condition – still in its original Marine Corp colors and markings.
Some rust along front edge where front panel meets the angle iron on front of frame. Some cracks in bed. Has a tailgate modification – but was done with clean cuts straight up and down and real panel still in place for restoration. The best possible tailgate scenario for restoration.
Has all original reflectors, two combat wheels, original lunette set-up, one safety chain, even has one black out light still in place!”
UPDATE: Was listed at $500. Sold quickly.
This appears to have promise.
“pulls down road fine needs restored or use as is, no title”

“This is a restorable 1943 Bantam Jeep trailer designed to go behind the MB / GPW Jeeps. It is straight and not rusty. It does have a few man made holes in the front and the floor. It has the original date plate. The lunette needs work but it there as well as the parking brake. Fenders are gone but replacements are easily found. Restore or use as it is. $650.00 email with your phone number and I’ll call you back”

Looks solid.
“Jeep Trailer manufactured by Bantam, model T3-C. This is the civilian model of the military jeep trailer. It has 15″ jeep wheels, working tailgate, working lights, licensed, jack stand by hitch, 2″ ball hitch and solid steel plate in the bed, spare tire and mount. No rust holes, good useable condition or ready for a restoration, these trailers have a website. It is probably a 1947 by the serial number on the original Bantam ID plate which I have. I also have the rare original oak top bows for an additional 250.00.”
Looks good.
