“selling a very rare military type trailer, built by Henry Spen Co. in 1946. Spen made trailers and equipment for the war later this trailer was built for the public. Solid body ,no rust through. has been sandblasted and primed. I have original chains, landing leg, rear light, cloth wiring,hitch and the very rare hubcaps and both data plates. Trailer will need some minor body work and paint. Under carriage is 99% perfect. please no low ball offers. Thanks E mail for any more questions.(last pic is the military version).”

Here’s a rare civilian Converto.

“This is a ¼ ton utility trailer made in 1947 by the Converto Manufacturing Company. They were sold at the Willys Jeep dealerships and resembled the Bantam military trailers of WW2, but unlike them, this trailer was built with a tailgate. Would also look good with any vintage car or truck. The lights are from the early 50s, but do the job and work with new wires and a flat four connector. The hitch was badly installed and from the 80s, so I installed an NOS, unused old stock hitch that is period correct. I replaced two wheel bearings and repacked them all. The tires are new 8 ply bias. This trailer is permanently registered under a California PTI, and I have a paper title. This trailer is road ready. The bed rusted, but there are no holes and no flake, a previous owner must have blasted it before he painted it. I took photos with it wet to show better contrast. Located in Hathaway Pines, 95233.

“We are selling a Sears David Bradley trailer. Model #231417. Trailer is in pretty decent shape. No major damage. Has the tractor wheels, tailgate, fenders and original tag. “hello everyone! Here is a recently reconditioned 1952 M100 1/4 Ton Military trailer. It has been sandblasted primed and painted. It used to be red. There are brand new 600×16 military tires and rims. There are 12v lights and LED tail lights. It is PA titled and registered. The tub, frame and axle are original.I replaced the springs and the front inter vehicular cable box. I hope to get $1,800. I am open to negotiation. Overall great condition.”

“1962 Bantam Trailer. Great vintage piece of equipment. T3C data plate intact (see pics). Also has the black California license plate. These trailers have a community of enthusiasts. Overall solid, but a little rough. It rolls. Sorry, don’t know if the lights work. Tires not original, but looks like we have one of the OG Firestones as a pretty bald spare. “his is a trailer sold through Willys jeep dealers from the late 40’s through the early 50’s.
It is made by “Spen trailer company”. This is NOT a Bantam trailer, but it is much like one. I bought it with hopes to restore it and use it with my CJ2A, but I don’t have the time. It is in poor shape.
Unfortunatly I dont have any paper work for it.
