“This is a new jeep tub kit, all stainless, on a new frame, with a new top, it has 1978 CJ front and rear axles under it, no motor or tranny has ever been in it. “1951 Willys Jeep CJ3A, Pinto 2000 (100hp) motor, T-18 truck four speed transmission (granny gear), model 18 transfer case, 4:88 gears with locking diffs. (modle 27 front and 44 in rear) with Warn hubs, power steering, stainless steel windshield, full roll cage, Recaro style seats, “Jackman” white spoked rims. No papers, sold as is or for parts. $1600.”

UPDATE:  The buyer of the jeep reported that these were Jewels fenders with the stickers still on them.

Here’s the deal for today.  The stainless steel fenders (Jewels?) and warn overdrive may be worth $1700 alone.  Also interesting, this might be a DJ-3A body, as I don’t see a tailgate; however, this might also just be some kind of mod as well.

Obviously, these don’t appear every day.  Note that this one has been stretched 6 inches, which makes it ideal for placing on a CJ-5 frame.  It appears to have a solid back, like a DJ-3A.
