“1945 Ford Willy’s runs great but needs a clutch”
Next updates will be Monday. We are celebrating Oolie Christmas this weekend and have 40 people over. Yep, it’s busy here!
UPDATE: Email issues nearly resolved. Emails from yesterday and this morning might be missing, so if you sent something important, let me know.
Someone sent me over 200mb of photos in several emails yesterday, causing my email to go spastic. Hopefully, I’ll get that resolved today. You can still reach me at my backup email, d@deilers.com.
If you aren’t sure whether your photos are high resolution or not, PLEASE warn me before sending me more than five photos!!
Thanks … the management! 🙂
The body has been stretched to fit the blazer frame. I’m not sure how much value is here.

I’ve been having some email problems with my eWillys account. I think I was sent some very large files and it’s taking a long time to load them. So, if you haven’t heard back from me today, well that is why!
UPDATE: Price dropped to $6000.
(09/04/2017) I believe that’s a fiberglass body.

We drove to Western Washington last night to join Rob and Diana Stafford for dinner and then spend the next few days with my parents.
The Staffords took us to a new South American place in Spanaway that was excellent! By the time we finished and drove to my parents it was 9:30pm. Ann and I walked into the house to find my father was still awake. That was the first sign of trouble! Dad is usually in bed by 9pm and he’s a man of habit.
It turned out, Dad was very upset. No, upset doesn’t quite describe it. He was having a cow. Yes, a cow. I’m pretty sure I heard mooing!
You see, his watch, of the Timexy big-hand little-hand second-hand type, was running slow, too slow for his liking. And by God, if someone didn’t repair his watch then he was ‘ordering’ someone, anyone, to the store to get him a new one!! #myFatherHasLostHisFreakingMind #letsGetOuttaHere
You’d think he’d like a slower watch at age 84, as he could drag out his time on planet earth. But, no, his watch was too slow and he needed a new battery installed; mom had gotten the new one, she just couldn’t get it installed. This meant my mother was taking TOO long to replace the battery, by my father’s measure.
Of course, his attitude was just adding the frustrations felt by my mother over not being able to install the battery. I’m pretty sure she was ready to make a slow watch the least of his worries; he might no longer need a watch!
To calm the situation (after a big sigh from yours truly) I agreed to cast my readers aside for the evening in favor of bridging the divide between a man-who-needs-a-working-watch-to-go-to-bed and the woman-who-might-END-the-man-who-needs-a-working-watch-to-go-to-bed!
So, alas, there won’t be on post today. That’s the bad news.
The good news is I eventually fixed the watch and Dad shuffled off too bed as if nothing had happened ….
I have concluded that I picked a bad week to give up booze and hard drugs!!
I’m tackling some other projects, so next updates will be Monday morning.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500.
The engine has been updated.
“8500 OBO, 1950 willys jeep, 4×4, runs and drives great, current reg and plates, later model Chevy 4cyl engine not the original flat head”
We enjoyed our night of camping at Oregon’s Cottonwood Canyon State Park so much that we are going to spend a second night there. We had the place to ourselves last night. The purposefully primitive camping sites (no power/water/sewer/cell) are spread out, so even if this place was full, it would be pleasant. Here’s one photo. I’ll report more on this Sunday morning.
THURSDAY UPDATE II: Wednesday night we stayed at the Maryhill State Park, which is nestled next to the Columbia River. Unfortunately, it’s also next to a train track; and, across the river from a second train track and I-84; and at the bottom of a long hill down which semi-trucks travel using their air brakes all night. For a pretty spot kind of in the middle of nowhere it was noisy, way too noisy!!
So, we are heading to another campground, this one a primitive place in the middle of Oregon. There are no train tracks, no nearby highways, no power, and no cell service ….
WEDNESDAY NIGHT UPDATE: Good news. We have connectivity at our campground. We’ll be camping for a few days.
Now for a funny story.
We stopped to fill the motorhome with gas this afternoon. Next to the gas station was a McDonalds, so Ann walked over in her baggy camping clothes to get a little food. As she walked away she laughed and shouted, “I bet these clothes make me look homeless!”
Her knee has been bothering her, so she slowly walked there, just adding to her “look”. On her return trip, she exited McDonalds, again slowly, then paused to let a vehicle leave the drive-thru. At that point, a woman driving slowly past Ann rolled down her window and attempted to give Ann a dollar bill, thinking Ann was homeless. Ann was befuddled. She looked at the woman and shook her head and said, “no thanks.” Puzzled, the woman shrugged, rolled up her window, and drove on….
I think my next book should be titled, Yikes! I Married a Homeless Woman!
UPDATE: Still Available
(09/20/2017) Has some old school looking pin striping.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.
Somehow the back of the Meyer hardtop is dented. This needs work.
“For sale I have a really rare 1966 cj 6 that has been a Colorado jeep since brand new. From what I was told from the guy I bought it from the city of aspen bought it for snow mass ski area and then it spent its life on the ski slope. It runs actually pretty good it does need a carb rebuild and fuel lines to actually run. The body is in pretty good shape some light rust on the out side of tub but not half as bad as I’ve seen on some newer models both floor boards are gone due to rust. It has the factory hard top and hard doors that need some work but it is there and complete. I have driven it all 3 speeds work as do the 2 speed transfer are clutch seems to have lots of life and the mileage was told to me to be accurate not really wanting to sell the holy grail Jeep I really just don’t have the time it needs to bring it back to glory.”
Next Updates will be Sunday.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $300.
The tran/tc are supposedly rebuilt.
“L134 go devil engine trans and transfer case. Trans and transfer case we’re rebuilt. Engine needs parts but crank. Have steering column and other engine part, pedals etc. Also have the Dana 25.”
We drove to Seattle and spent the evening with family on Tuesday, so no updates for Wednesday.
– Dave
Just a few updates today. We didn’t head over to Seattle on Christmas day due to the ice and snow, so I expect we’ll be heading there today.
The next updates will be Monday morning. Have a good rest of your weekend.
I’m took last night off. Updates begin anew on Monday morning.
Well folks, sorry for that interruption. The host that manages the eWillys domain failed to renew the name. My attempts to manually and auto renew it this past week failed. It took support to finally get it to work this morning. Since then, I’ve been exchanging emails with the host to explain that their technology is flawed. While they sent emails that included their apologies, they have no good explanation as to why their system didn’t auto renew the domain name. So, there will be another interruption after the holidays when I move the domain name to another host.
Sounds like it is in good shape.
“This Kelly top is off of a 1975 CJ5. These metal hardtops were available as dealer add-ons, and this one is in all original and working condition. All glass is there, and all the hand cranks work. The dome light lit when it was taken off. This is a 300 model, which is the top of the line except for the Bonanza. This hardtop would be easy to restore and put on that CJ5 you wanted to show.”

The internet was unusually bad last night, so just a few updates today.
