“1965 Jeep Willy’s. 4×4
All original except the gas tank which is new a few years ago that I purchased from the Kaiser Willy’s catalogue. I inheirited it from uncle 8 years ago. It just sits in the barn. It never has had a flat tire on these heavy ol’ bias ply tires. It really needs a Willy’s enthusiast’ attention or a deer lease to call home. Will start and run but definitely needs a tune up. I used to fire it up and cruise up and down our road but I haven’t started it since last winter though because I’m too lazy. It does have a new interstate battery In it. Dust from sitting in the barn will be part of the package deal.
Title in hand!”
UPDATE: Still Available.

“In good condition just needs an annual done.”
UPDATE: This 2008 post is incomplete. I will update it with the full story when I get a chance.
The 1968 issue had an article that underscores how popular jeeping had become. One event in California, the Desert Safari, organized by the Tierra Del Sol 4wd club, brought in 600 jeeps and over 2500 people. Below is the cover story’s picture.
Looks solid.

I’ve not felt well all Monday. We’ll try for updates on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, I hear that the Old Willys Forum is down. Here’s more information on that from Pete from the Facebook page:
“A huge Thanks to everyone for being patient while we rework the forum! We’ve been down for nearly a week now, way longer than I expected… In the last nine years, the forum has never been down for more than 24 hours.
The conversion of the forum database to the new forum software is well underway,…. Getting the image attachments and gallery reconnected is the hardest part, and takes the longest. Once we get the basic forum up and running, we will be adding all the details back into the forum (graphics, icons, avatars, new features, etc) over the coming weeks.”
Updates will resume Tuesday.
Updates resume on Wednesday.
Just a couple updates. I’m spending the weekend hanging with my daughter at my parent’s house. Probably won’t be many updates on Sunday, either. 🙂

“Looking to trade my 1953 CJ3B. It has a 283 V8 with a 2 spd powerglide transmission. I do have the 4wd tranny that came with it and the front driveshaft. Was tagged and inspected last year but have not redone it since putting the auto transmission in. It still needs some tinkering with the linkage to be completely ready. It has a little trouble shifting into park. Starts drives and stops. Could use a tune up. It will need a little patchwork done around the shifter. I also have a brand new soft top and doors that have never been installed. Would like to trade for and older car or truck or a rat rod. Doesn’t have to be completely finished I don’t mind doing a little work on something that catches my eye. Clear title in my name.”
