(01/20/2020) This appears to be a 1950 CJ-3A with an MB/GPW body on it. It also has some Husky/Allstate hubs and what I think is a Con-Ferr rear bumper.

“A farmer purchased it from the Fort Irwin Army Logistics Base just outside Barstow California in 1966. We got it from him in 1996. It has been under a roof ever since.
The farmer put a Willys F head engine in it along with larger drum brakes. The hood was cut for the carburetor. Carburetor has been replaced so hood will clear when corrected. He also swapped out the windshield to a latter / taller version. An electric Ramsey winch was also installed by the farmer.
Very little rust in easy to get at area. Runs and drives nicely.
It is still available if you see this add. I won’t negotiate without you seeing it.
No, I don’t need help with selling it. Please email with your questions via c-list.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(06/02/2020) This MB looks like it was fully refurbed, but lacks aspects that would make it “museum quality”.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.
(05/10/2019) Looks like there are more military parts than CJ parts here.
“Clean, mostly restored 1948 Willy’s CJ-2A. Runs well, converted 12v with MSD ignition. G.I. top (12 years old), rebuilt and cared for by WWII vet since passed. Garaged and serviced recently. Front bumper tabbed for pull hitch (included). Some small tears in seat upholstery. Recently installed gas tank. Great for as-is use or platform for further restoration/outfitting. Mounted jerry cans. Locking hubs. 8,290 on replaced spedo/odo. Not many like this that I can see out there. Either full restores (high $$$$) or total project rigs. Love it, but has to go. 4 kiddos and spouse in nursing school. Clean CA title.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $3000.
(05/06/2020) Matt’s selling this MB. He can be reached via call or text at 860 304 3639.
“Selling one of my projects I won’t have time to get to anytime soon. Up for sale is a late war Willys MB. I believe it is a 1945. All of the data tags are gone so there is no serial number or DOD. There is an ACM number on the tub and it can clearly be read. The frame, axles, steering components and certain body parts are in good shape but the sheet metal is very rough. One of the front frame horns will also need to be replaced.
Lots of rust in the body as you can see in the pictures. There is a later CJ2A engine in it but no transmission or transfer case. There are still a-lot of good hard to find parts on it. This is a good start to a restoration as the chassis is very solid and usable or as a parts vehicle to complete another Jeep with a better body and drivetrain. I do have some parts and pieces that can be purchased separately to make it more complete. Located in Connecticut. Asking $3500 obo.”
