These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Seller has listed the price as $4444, but I doubt that’s the price. The ad is a little odd.

(01/18/2018) “I have a unrestored 1951 Willys M38 Military Jeep for sale.
The engine starts and runs good and drivetrain seems good.
Black in color and still has 24 volt system.
It has some rust in the floor and would probably need a floor pan kit.
The breaks are not working and I think it was the Master Cyl. leaking.
I’ve had it stored for about 15 years and it’s always been garage kept sense I’ve owned it.

*new aftermarket tub with zero rust or bodywork (includes new tub, fenders, hood, used tailgate and grille, 2 windshield frames-one has good glass, new top bows/brackets)
*2 front seat frames, no cushions
*clean CJ3A frame in primer
*motor (4 cyl. flathead…I believe civilian, not sure) that was freshened up by previous owner and not run since
*second motor too, not frozen, don’t know if it runs
*2 sets of axles with springs: set from early Willy’s CJ3A chassis (dana 25 long front and dana 41 rear, with springs too) and set from M38 chassis (dana 25 front and dana 44 rear)
*extra hood

*Four 16″ rims plus 4 16″ M151 Mutt rims (with 7.00 x 16 military tires mounted)
