UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4800.
It doesn’t run.
“1949 Willys Overland Jeepster. Vehicle has a Ford 200 6 cyl that does not run, everything else is all original. Very little rust in the lower rear quarter panel. Otherwise very solid body. I have the top bows.”
Reminds me of a pink surrey.
“I have a nice little restoration project for sale, Its a convertible and no holes in the body just minor surface rust. I do have some parts for the restoration. It has a new chevrolet motor and tranny never been started in it. Great project for the right collector or family ??”
UPDATE: Was $850. **SOLD**
Might be some parts value here.
“This is a 1951 Willys Overland Jeepster. I bought it to turn into a hot rod, but ran into another that was partially built, so this one became a parts rig. It has no floor and no steering column. I have most of the trim for this as well as the windshield, seats (most) and the top. These are known for their very solid frames which have a LARGE X brace in the middle, so you can add your horsepower with little worry. For an extra $300 I’ll throw in an AMC Pacer front suspension I was gong to install. It’s a nearly perfect fit and gives you independent front suspension, power rack and pinion steering and disc brakes, much better than the original transverse left spring setup. The only thing I’ll need to keep for my own project is the back seat frame. I have another, but this one is nicer. Good Ohio title in hand.”
UPDATE ***SOLD** Was $19,500.
Glenn forwarded this nice looking Jeepster.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
This might make a good restoraiton.
“This was the last true touring car made in the United States. None of the Willys Jeepsters were made in four wheel drive. The body is straight, and ran as recently as six years ago. No body parts are missing. Little or no rust. V6 Buick engine. Needs new brake lines before it can be driven. Kept in heated garage. Ugly oxidized pink paint with matching tuck&roll. Makes everybody smile even unrestored. Firm on price. ”
Glenn forwarded this nice looking Commando. That’s an interesting front bumper. Needs a little work.

“This Jeepster was in running order with new paint and seats in 1974 when I was in High School. It has been under tarp or hard cover for 40 years. I always thought I would get it back in good working order but now it needs to go to someone who wants to own this classic. It has a Ford flat head and 3 speed manual transmission. It was running when I parked it because of some minor wiring issues (lights). I just recently uncovered it and have decided to sell it after all these years.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500.
Looks good for the price.

Looks good for the price.
“1970 Kaiser Willys Jeepster in mostly original condition. 255 hp V6 Dauntless engine 103,227 original miles (title says not actual). 3 speed 4WD. Runs strong, does not smoke, drives and stops. I drive it 5 miles a week just to keep everything in good working order. Minor rust on lower body and tailgate (see photo details), no rust through, solid floors and frame. Gas tank was replaced and there is no sender. Heater, defroster, wipers and gauges all work. Drivers seat and radio not original but have authentic replacement Jeep radio and seat. 3 tires are good, one is fair, extra 2 rims with snow tires. Have complete service manual. For 45 years old, overall condition is very good mechanically and body is very straight but for a very minor dent front left fender. Paid $4,000 16 months ago + work done and parts so price is CASH pretty firm.”

Looks great with that “Rocket” engine. A couple things don’t work.
“This is a one of a kind Jeepster. The Jeepsters were made until 1950 but those sold in 1951 were registered as 51’s, such is the case here. It currently has a mid 50’s Oldsmobile Rocket 324 cubic inch V8 with the (slim jim)hydromatic trans. The car went thru a amateur renovation 5 years ago but is holding up quite well. The paint still shines and the custom upholstery us unused. The car is rarely driven hence the reason for selling. The top is 5 years old but the car is rarely used and always kept under cover. The side curtains(windows) have never been used and are still new. The engine runs like a top and is quite powerful especially in a car as light as the Jeepster. The 4 speed auto trans shifts clean and hard. The after market turn signals work. This car attracts a great deal of attention when driven. Reasonable offer will be considered. The car is absent a heater and the wind shield wipers don’t work and it has no radio.”
This might be worth a look.
“I have owned this car since 1993 , has always been under cover and rarely driven. The paint is 6 years old and still shines. There is no rust on this car. The custom cloth upholstery is like new . The chassis is original and has been rebuilt. The V-8 Oldsmobile engine is a mid 50’s 324 cu in 340 lb torque and runs very strong. The automatic transmission is the 4 speed hydromatic of that area and shifts clean and hard. This is a fun car to drive. There are still a few odds and ends to contend with but it is road worth and starts easily. You are invited to view the car before making offers. If this add is still here it is still for sale. The top is new as well as the side curtains(window).”
Looks ready for a cruise.
“Same owner for 30 years. Most everything cosmetic and mechanical has been repaired, rebuilt or replaced with original. Paint is starting to check. Front floors need to be replaced. Replacement floors from the Jeepsterman are included. Hubcaps not shown but included. Health problems stopped old car activity, so it hasn’t run for 2 years, time for someone else to enjoy. See pics, questions, please email.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,500.
The seller notes that the dates on the photos are incorrect.

“1971 Hurst Jeepster Commando
One of the Rarest Jeeps Made
Up for auction is my 1971 Hurst Jeepster Commando. I purchased this 5 years ago with plans to do a frame up restore, but unfortunately have not had the time to begin the restoration. My loss, your gain.
I have not attempted to start the motor, but the previous owner stated that it will run. I have no reason to think otherwise.
Vehicle has all emblems, special build tags, and Hurst options.
Shouldn’t take much to get it back on the road, or restore as an investment.
Not just a rare vehicle, but also in a rare unmolested state.”
UPDATE: **SOLD**
Both look interesting. You don’t find many M-38s with heaters on the cowl.

“1950 Willy’s Jeepster, Chrysler
Slant 6, with automatic, balance stock, red interior.
Not a show car; paint shows well, nice solid driver.
Trades considered, asking $8500, more pictures available.”
UPDATE: Joe and his wife were told (more than once) this was listed at $1600 by the seller. However, according to the Craigslist ad it is $16,000. I’d say it is worth somewhere between the two prices.
Joe spotted this at the Kmart Kruse in last night in Phoenix. Looks like a really good price to me.
Joe writes, I told the seller all about eWillys and that I would be submitting these pics and some info… he liked that idea. I don’t know much (or anything, really) about these, but I know I liked this one… and was surprised at the reasonable price.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500
This may be a good price.
