A beautiful FC-150 sells for $38,000 at Russo-Steel
Yeah, you read that right. Craig from the FC-Connection site kindly dropped me a note saying that none other than Tim ‘the tool man’ Allen purchased this beautiful FC-150 for $38,000. It probably didn’t hurt that the FC was auctioned at the Russo-Steele Auction, the televised auction you might have seen on ESPN2 while flipping through cable channels.
Here’s some images from the FC-Connection site. And, a link to the Russo-Steel auction page for this FC-150.
1959 FC-150 & 1959 CJ-5 Phoenix, Az $1500 each
The CJ-5 comes with a warn overdrive, a ford-top loader, a ford 289, a full cage and a set of hurricane aluminum 10″ rims. $1500 isn’t a bad price for that combo + the rest of the parts.
The FC-150 looks pretty good as well for $1500, if it comes with some of the missing parts.
“One 1959 Willys CJ5 with Ford 289 and Ford top loader four speed, Warn overdrive, starts and runs good, original 5:38 gears and nine inch brakes, will include parts for changing to 11 inch brakes. $1500.00 cash O.B.O. One 1959 Willys FC 150 Forward Control with Ford 289, Jeep transmission and transfer case, original 5:38 gears and 11 inch brakes. was never finished. Will come with extra FC 150 parts. $1500.00 cash O.B.O.”

“1960 Willys FC170 – Rare Project Truck – Runs but needs throttle cable. Only reason I am selling is to repair transmission on other truck.”
1957 FC-150 Sacramento, Ca $1000
The rust doesn’t look all that bad. This might be a decent price for it.
“This is a 1957 jeep fc 150. its all original but has some things missing and a little rust. things missing that i noticed are the distributar and speedometer. the passenger door is damage but could be fixed by a body guy, some rust but will be surface only and could all be taken off when sandblasted, nothing that bad, i would suggest removing the bed and cab to go through it, these trucks are very easy to pull apart. its got the original engine and was running about ten years ago. most of the parts are willy’s jeep and can be bought still through local dealers. the seats are there and there’s a few extra heads in the bed. i noticed a bunch of spare parts in the bed, i will get an inventory soon. call me if your interested, ill try to answer any questions, erik, 916-218-9187, $ is negotiable and i will deliver it!!…”

“1960 WILLY’S JEEP F150 FORWARD CONTROL 4WD. Perfect for restoration this jeep was in use until 1996. Odometer reads 24,766. When I acquired this truck a few months ago it ran great for a few days, would start right up, plenty of power and very little smoke. Then it died and before I realized the fuel pump diaphragm went I messed around with the carb. Here is a link to a 11 mg video of the Jeep in great running condition that you can download with my 12 year old son running it through our back field.”
Old FC 150? Portland, Or $2495
My guess is that this is a modified FC 150? No doubt it’s rare! Maybe It’s the perfect vehicle for that FC collector who has it all. It sounds as if it runs, but the owner doesn’t have a key?

Has tow bar attached to the front. 6 volt battery system. Has a swivel arm on the back. 2 front seats. 4 wheel drive. Purchased it with my property and don’t know if it runs. 1959 FC-170 Firetruck Sarasota, Fl eBay
I've got a friend in California that has an old firetruck he would drive to work every so often. I always thought that would be fun, but I think this firetruck would be even cooler.
"1959 Willys Jeep FC170 Forward Control fire truck. Runs good – may need some brake maintenance. 7,200 actual miles. Manual Transmission. ALL ORIGINAL! This vehicle has not been stripped. It is 100% original – even the windshield wipers! Includes Fire Extinguishers and fire blanket canister (with original fire blanket inside). Even the lights and siren are working! The headliner is begining to come down and the interior needs some work. There are no dents on the exterior. The vehicle has only been driven in local parades for the past several years."
1958 FC-150 South King County, Wa $1450
UPDATE: the price dropped to $1450
This FC looks like a great project for someone.
"This is an original FC 150 (Forward Control). This is mostly complete and restorable. Original motor turns over but has very low compression in two cylinders. Includes a Manual and sales brochure. Great little off road/hunting vehicle. Wierd at first to drive because you are sitting on the front wheels. Frame/chasis is the standard 1952 jeep. I started this as a project but am unable to complete. Easy to work on. I have a car trailer and can deliver if you cover the gas. Dewey 253-670-1046 pr dewey@windermere.com"
1960 FC-150 Coeur D’Alene, ID **SOLD**
I bought this recently as a project but have found that I have too many home projects to work on it. I bought it from Schaffers Towing in Cd’A. They got it to fire up for a moment and when I brought it home I put a little gas down the carburator and got it to fire momentarily. It turns over nicely now but doesn’t seem to be getting spark…???
The brakes are disconnected and the fuel tank is there but the fuel line runnung up to it is disconnected.
I was told that the motor in it is called a “Hurricane Four” and it has a “Spicer” gear box.
It has some rust and is missing the bed. I have seen some of these with flatbeds.

1963 FC-170 Stake Bed Dump Truck San Luis Obispo, CA **SOLD**
The term ‘rare’ accompanies a variety of FC-150/170s.
“This extremely rare 1963 Jeep Willys FC-170 4X4 is both a stake bed pick up and a hydraulic dump bed. The trucks prior owner was into these vehicles in a big way and kept his eyes open for the right FC to purchase for over 15 years. He acquired this truck from the original owner and had it for another 15 years until illness forced the sale. The prior owner advertised this as “Very Complete & Original all the way down to the Windshield Washer Bag that hangs on the dashboard.”
