“Built 231 Buick V-6, bored 30 with TRW pistons, Comp cam (can’t remember specs), ARP head bolts, Headman Headers, complete Petronix ignition system, distributor has been curved for build, practically brand new edelbrock performer intake, also have a Weiand single plane intake, 450 cfm Holley 4 barrel with Quick Fuel secondary metering block conversion . I’m sure there’s more that I’m forgetting. Engine has less than 5000 miles on it intake has less that 200 miles. Engine was in my jeep, but I pulled it for an LS swap, and I need it gone to make room”

“For sale is a complete Willys L-134 4-Cyl Engine assembly which can be used in either a CJ2A or CJ3A. I was going to use this engine in my CJ3A project but I acquired another vehicle with all numbers matching that I’m working on instead.

“I have for sale a 1950s Willys L134 Motor. The motor was mounted to a military generator. This motor is also equipped with water fording waterproofing equipment including a waterproof distributor and oil bath air cleaner specifically designed to support the air ventilation for fording as was seen on the MC-38 Military Willys Jeep. The generator and all parts other than what you see in the pictures was scrapped. The motor turns freely but I haven’t made any efforts yet to start it. This is the same motor used in the early flat fender Willys Jeeps with the exception that it has extra accessories that supported the generator function such as the governor – all of which are readily removed and it also has the waterproofing accessories which can be run in any environment or replaced with standard accessories. I’m selling it as is with the accessories you see attached for an asking price of $550. Please e-mail if interested.”
UPDATE: ****SOLD** Was $650.
“Super Hurricane flat head 6 cyl engine out of a 1954 Jeep Willys pick up – mileage is unknown
It is still in the truck but being pulled soon. I have never heard this engine run but was told it does, but needs a rebuild (runs rough, has a bad tap)
I will include the 3 speed trans and the twin stick transfer case as well as all the ignition, carb, starter, alt, etc – I am installing a diesel engine so I don’t need anything off of it
This is a rare engine so I would rather not scrap it but I don’t have the room to store it either!”
Joe forwarded this engine for sale on eBay. Local pickup only (Ohio).
“Up for your consideration is a Willys L-134 engine ser # MB334904 . I bought it just in case I was going to assemble a WW2 jeep. This engine has the Military Standard oil filter, Crank start nut, Lower Pulley guards, WW2 primer fuel pump. It has a Gpw script oil pump, original water pump with no holes (civilian has heater ports). It also has the WW2 jeep steel radiator hose sections. Was told the brown bakelite distributor cap is rare. It appears that the head is a Gpw as you can see a Gp under the oil filter bracket. It will turn with a wrench on the crank start nut. With the prices on these going up This would make a good place to start for your jeep. If you priced a carb, intake/exhaust manifold, Distributor and so on you will see that this will make a good buy. This could be used also for the Ford Gpw”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Make Offer.
“THESE ARE IN VERY GOOD SHAPE WITH NO CRACKS WILLING TO SELL ONE AT A TIME OR THE PAIR FOR BETTER DEAL.”
Steve forwarded this ad. The motor is seized.
“This is a engine from a 1940 Willys Americar model 440, although I think it was last in a Willys Jeep because of the CJ2A motor mounts and oil pan. It has some unusually characteristics, like the head, dipstick, manifolds, carburetor etc..
IT DOES NOT RUN! It is seized from sitting. Make no mistake, this engine is for parts or rebuild only.
Key words; Willy, MB, GPW, universal.

“Here is a willys overland f block engine with what seems to a some experimental engineering . There is what looks like direct injection at the spark plugs and it seems to be an early flathead with and overhead valve conversion. . I’m not a willys expert but this is what I’m gathering from my research on this one . It’s definitely some engineers dream and well done of you ask me . Come take a look at it of your interested. ”
This early motor might interest a rebuilder. No pics provided.

Nate’s simple reasoning for installing two carbs on his L-Head (I had two YF carbs and plenty of time) belies his good understanding of how why the carbs add more power (see his explanation in the thread comments). As usual, very nice work Nate!
