I’m not sure if these are $1500 each or $1500 for both. Only one pic of the CJ-2A and it doesn’t show much.
“nice project for restoration or take it to the woods and get it muddy original hurricane 4 motor new carve and fuel pump. this jeep is not road ready yet. call or text 386-623-4724 for more info possible trade”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
This looks like a nice price on a stock CJ-5.
“Neet old jeep everything is original and everything works I use it in the desert and mountains and it never failed me. comes with canvis top with doors. call me”
While searching for more information about Johnny Cash’s 462 CJ-5, about which I found very little, I ran across these two websites.
The first is a resource for people interested in the rare model of CJ-5 called a Super Jeep. You can visit the website here: http://www.superjeep.info
The second is a website devoted to information about the CJ-5 Camper: http://www.cj5camper.com/
UPDATE: Was on eBay. **SOLD**
Here’s an unusual CJ-5.
“This is a full caged 72 CJ-5 with a well built AMC 360 . Full frame off re-fabrication hand built 2×4 square tubing frame. Rear quarter elliptic suspension of my own design incorporates a rotating cross-member to keep the drive angle alignment during articulation. It can go through 2′ of drop and maintain drive line angle without binding the ujoints! The rear end is a 9″ narrowed Ford containing a 4.56 Detroit locker with disk brakes to go along with the GM truck disk brakes on the front, powered by hydrobost, a new GM 1 ton master cylinder keeping the 5 1/2″ bolt pattern front and rear. ….
(there is A LOT of additional description about this jeep).”
This looks pretty good for the price.
“Great running woods jeep no title
the body and frame are in great shape has rust on the floor
4cylinder hurrican
low granny gears
33 supper swampers
239 980 3050”
UPDATE: Jim notes that this CJ-5 is a very rare example of a 462 model CJ-5. You can see his comment about it below. I tried to find some pictures online of a closeup of the decal, but couldn’t find any.
Also, here’s a picture of Johnny Cash from a 1975 Christmas Album. It looks like it could be the same jeep.
I stumbled upon these neat old pics of Johnny Cash from the johnny–cash-infocenter.com website.
UPDATE: Price was $600. **Status Unknown**
If the body is as solid as it looks, this might be a nice little jeep that needs just a little work.
“1957 WILLYS JEEP- I have had this jeep for about 6 years. I drove it about 1 year ago. The engine will turn over with a jummper cable. I took out the gas tank because it rusted a hole in it.
Price- $600.00 or your best offer
If you want more pictures I will text or email them to you.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
(03/26/2011) There’s some value, but hard to tell just how much.
“1952 Willys has a 4.3 EFI and adaptor plate to a 4 speed transmission but no axles. The 1962 Willys has a rolling chassis, engine, tub, windshield frame, roll bar. Take 2 Jeeps and make one or just use the parts. ”
It’s a project with some good updates.
“For sale is a project 1958 Jeep CJ5. Black diamond 3″ lift installed, reverse shackle kit installed, original T-90 tranny/transmission. Engine is a 62 Buick 198 V6. Painless wiring kit never installed new in box. Tub has been sandblasted and primed along with hood and fenders. Also has Les Schwab TXR Wild Country 33×12.50 with spare. Tires are almost brand new. 5.38 gears / new gears in front end, Dana 30 front axle / Dana 44 rear axle, Mile Marker locking hubs new in box, P.T.O. adapter w/winch (cracked case on winch), seats, headlight assembly, and 2 gas tanks. I have just about everything that is needed to put it back together, I just dont have time for it anymore. If interested please email. Asking $2000 OBO, only serious inquiries please.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Were $1200.
One runs and one is a parts vehicle.
“1957 CJ5 with 60 CJ5 parts vehicle. The 57 is mostly all original, with hardtop and Meyer snow plow. It runs great, drives, needs brakes. The plow works good, I have the cylinders to make it power angle. It has a clean title. The bad: the frame is toast. The body tub is rough. The 60 CJ5 is for parts, I don’t know if it runs or not. The frame is good and it has a usable body. No title. Also I have another hardtop just like the one on the 57 except it has swing open doors vs sliding doors. $1200.00 for everything.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4900.
Glenn spotted this one. The paint is funky. The body looks good, best as I can see from the strange paint job. However, for only 8200 miles the engine compartment looks pretty filthy.
“1962 Willys Jeep. 8200 original miles! 4 Speed with working snow plow. Very little rust. I have owned since 1988 and prior to that it was stored in warehouse in NYC. $4900. No papers.”
Unclear if it runs, but looks pretty solid.
“57 Jeep Willys, 4 cylinder, Standats, 4×4. Good parts truck or restoration.

“1959 willys withe pto drive hard to fined 607 7 four 6 3 77 four cliff”

This looks real nice for the price.
“Awesome 1963 Willys. Rebuilt engine and transmission. Replaced brakes/brake lines, wheels, speedometer, lock-outs and carb. 12 Volt. 4 wheel drive works. Starts, runs and drives very well.
This jeep makes a really good 2-tracker. Comes with roll cage.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.

Here’s a CJ Dealer Promotion ashtray that Craig pointed out to me. However, it’s is located in Thailand.
“You are looking at a authentic old vintage used ashtray & jeep. 6 inch wide by 2 inch high for tray. Jeep itself is 2 1/2 inch long. Made of chromed metal. Extensive oxidation to chrome. Looks like it may not polish out. No tobbaco smell.”
Mark has this over at sellajeep.com.
“4 cylinder, 3 speed transmission, 4×4, yellow paint, many non-factory add-ons. Must see to appreciate! Price: $5,500 Please contact Juan at: Phone: (951) 672-3431 or email: batwin77@live.com”
UPDATE: Was listed at $7500. **Status Unknown**
This is a nice looking combo.
“For sell as a set only, a restored 1956 Willys CJ-5 Jeep, plus a Bantam trailer (jeep trailer, civilian). They were restored at the same time, painted to match. Same tires and wheels. The Jeep has a metal half cab, (doors easily lift off for summer driving) Ramsey winch, Warn overdrive, heater, new hubs, custom rack on back to hold extra spare tire, gas can, hi-lift jack, and shovel. The rack can be easily removed. The jeep has the original spare tire mount on the right side of the body. For sell as a set only, I will not split the trailer from the jeep. The jeep has just a few miles since the restoration, the trailer has not been pulled at all. Very nice set. Only selling to pay medical bills (new baby in the house) They are sitting on a lot in Vale, Oregon, as I live way out of town on a ranch. $7,500.00
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1250.
(04/20/2012) This runs and drives.

“Tuxedo Park Mark IV collector Jeep. Runs and drives good. V6 with 3 speed. Good for restoration.”
Despite being on the blocks and covered with dried needles and leaves, the seller claims “this is a very good Jeep”.
“This is a antique Willys Jeep. It needs restoration but its a very good Jeep. The price is not firm I will take a reasonable offer for the right price. These jeeps are hard to come by these days. Please call me for any questions you may have (770) 826-8003.”
