Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Last is a 69 cj5 good frame springs. The seller neglects to mention the body is made up of a CJ-2A and CJ-5 (and is damaged).

The 4wheel drive works and it has been painted with historically accurate WWII symbols. It has been converted to a 12 volt system. Seller lists this as a 3B, but it looks like a CJ-5. Looks like there’s value here.
“956 Willys CJ3B. This jeep has a 73 pinto engine swap. Pretty classic swap. These engines are pretty high torque, so they’re great for hills. Entire break system has been rebuilt. New clutch. 1 year old battery. Leather top and doors. 33’s I believe. I have 5 wheels and tires.
Currently the jeep is at my transmission shop with the transmission pulled. All it needs is a new clutch fork. Ive owned for 2 years and had lots of fun. Engine runs strong. Climbs hills.
I love this jeep, but I have a set of twins on the way, and unfortunately just won’t have the time or spare cash. $1400 OBO”

(07/07/2016) Has a Kelly hardtop. It doesn’t have the correct VIN for a Tux Park IV.
“1964 Jeep Willys CJ5. Believe its a Tuxedo Park edition. Inline 4 cylinder. Runs great. Brakes work. Need to sell to help fund another project. Would consider trade for a driving 1965 or 1966 Ford Mustang with V8 and manual transmission.

I love this funky jeep. Looks to have started life as a CJ-5 or M-38A1. Then, someone with a welder and torch got a hold of it. Just bring it back to life and keep as is. It’s a great conversation piece of nothing else.
“I have for sale a jeep that I have used at my hunting lease. It is a tough vehicle that is entirely metal. It has both high and low 4 wheel drive and a hoist on the back. It has some slop in the transmission that can be fixed with adjustment of the yoke in the three speed on the floor. It has a Ford Falcon engine. It has been sitting in my barn but it was running when I drove there. Tires are good and the fuel tank is a new tank that I have in the rear cargo area. I replaced the carburetor a few years back and runs fine. Will make a great jeep for a hunting lease or just to drive around a ranch. There is no title and I don’t know what year model or make it is! I am told that this is a form military jeep but I don’t know what era it is from.”
