Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This has been in storage for a couple decades and hasn’t been started since. The price is listed as $10,800, but the seller is taking bids (or maybe this is listed on eBay?).

Given the bumper and the chromed windshield hinges, this might have an early Tux Park package on it?

This may be a 19790s CJ-5 chassis with a 1948 ‘Lefty’ body. It’s got a 1970s CJ-5 grille among other 1970s details.

John is selling his modified Tux Park called Quicksand.
“1966 Jeep CJ-5 Tuxedo Park. This Jeep is not perfect but does run and drive. It is not an everyday vehicle. It is not currently tagged. I let the tags expire a few years ago. Does have a clean clear title. As you know, its not everyday you see one of these 60’s Jeeps for sale. Most of them rusted away. Pictures speak for themselves. It turns every head and sounds better than any Mustang. It has brand new custom dual exhaust with original barn find flow master mufflers. 3 speed transmission. Manual steering. A 1967 Jeep Wagoneer dauntless 350 V-8 (5.7L) was swapped into it. 33/14.50/15 Mickey Thompson tires. It’s low and wide. I do have soft doors for it (not pictured). I only have the bikini top because its just a toy. It was built for classic car cruising, small shows, and ice cream shops. I have piles of receipts. It is always garage kept. To clear a few things up. I am in no hurry to sell it and I only check my messages once a day. I am only taking best cash in hand offers after a few weeks listed.”
