Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This is a great looking CJ-5. I suspect there’s a few additional upgrades on this jeep.

This trail jeep seems reasonably priced.
“Selling my trail rig. It is street legal but I trailer it around. It has a built 360, T15/D20, d44/d30 locked in rear, New custom drivelines, 5in of lift (used to be S.O. w/36’s I lowered it back down) 33″ wildcats with spare. 10klb Warn winch with remote, Cd player, Full roll cage, I have the soft top for it, but it needs a little sewing work done (its all there though). It has all the lighting you will ever need, Engine runs at about 80-90psi oil presure. Oversized radiator means it never overheats on the trail. The is an awsome trail jeep. This is one of the stranger CJ-5s I've ever seen. While the cage won't be sold with the jeep, it's not exactly a good advertisement for the kind of custom cage they are offering to make. You gotta see all the pics to really appreciate this one.

We can also custom build bumpers, tire carriers, cages, sliders to your original design. Or take it as it sits and restore. Tubs is in great shape no major rust. make offer. 406-887-2858"
The body on this looks straight. I doubt there's been many changes to it. This might be a nice restoration project.

The price will likely drop for this project, but the pictures suggest the seller is right: This looks to be a good base for a project jeep.

Clear Oregon title, new mandrel bent box tube frame, new Rubicon Express springs, shackles and spring plates, small block chevy motor with turbo 400 transmission, locker rear end, complete tub that was media blasted with replaced floor and fire wall to fit motor. This is a nice looking CJ-5 at a reasonable price.
“6 cyl. 3 speed Jeep runs and drives. Needs a new windshield. Comes with old soft top and miscellaneous parts and pieces. Has 33×9.50×15 tires. 4” rancho lift. New windshield frame and tailgate. New fender flares and Turn signal switch. New tailights and side marker lights. All lights and turn signals work. New glove box and door. New spare tire carrier for tailgate. New seat belts.Need to be installed. Spare set of white spoke 15×8 wheels. Too many projects not enough time to enjoy it. “
This is an unusual CJ-5 package.
"You are bidding on a 1967 Jeep-A-Trench. This trencher is a bit unusual because it has a factory V/6 engine and 4 speed transmission. This Jeep is very complete and unmolested. It does however require a complete restoration. The engine turns over but I have never heard it run. The body has typical rust in the floors and tool box and there are dents and dings."
