“1974 Jeep CJ-5 Renegade 4×4. 304 v8, 3 speed. This is a project Jeep. Motor is stuck, could be clutch fork don’t know. Everything is there for the Jeep except seats, but do have brackets and hardware. Mostly a complete jeep. It is a Renegade cj5 model. It will need a lot of work mainly in driveline and body. Frame is good. Has its original pinto bean style rims and seems to be an original jeep with everything there. Sold as is where is. Will need trailered. No trades. 2500.00”
This might be worth a look. Has a Meyer-style hardtop, a tux park style rear bumper, and many other parts. The passenger fender looks to be from an early M-38A1, while the driver’s side fender may be original.

I hoped to find the above photo in a newspaper, but didn’t have any luck. I did find this short article from the January 30th, 1965, issue of the San Angelo Standard-Times:
Based on this article, I would guess that the white showing through from underneath the green suggests this was one of the white jeeps for the parade.

Originally posted May 04, 2022: Listed as a 1963, this was more likely a 1965 as that’s when the Tux Park IV first arrived. This jeep has a plaque indicating it was used in Lyndon B. Johnson’s inauguration parade. This was listed for $800 on FB and sold within a day. Thanks to Jordan for forwarding it to me.

Mike’s selling this nice looking Tuxedo Park IV. It includes a beautiful example of a Kelly Safari Hardtop, complete with the soft-top sections and one of the best examples of that top that I’ve seen. This jeep was listed on Bat (with lots of pics) and other sites, including Craigslist. The body has been restored in some places and patched on the front floors.

This has a replacement body. This may be a 3B or a CJ-5 chassis given it is a 1955.

This is possibly a former Navy CJ-5, according to the seller. A Kelly hardtop is included.

Listed as a 1960, it appears later than that given the fenders and grille. The dashboard is about as minimalist as they get!

I’m not sure what’s going on with the hub on the driver’s side. It includes a Koenig(?) hardtop and a pto winch.

It has a metal hard top that can be removed. It has been sitting for a while so it will need to be trailered or hauled, I don’t know when it ran last my uncle was going to get it running but passed away.”
This has some hard-to-find older rims. It’s listed as a 1974, but it looks more like mid to late 1960s.

“1966 Jeep CJ5 Tuxedo Park. 350 Jeep Wagoneer engine (aka Buick) from 1970 Jeep Wagoneer in place of the original Jeep V6. (mileage unknown) Manual steering, drum brakes, 33×14.50×15 Mickey Thompson Tires. 3 speed transmission. New custom dual exhaust with vintage single chamber mufflers. Sounds great! Lots of receipts & new parts. Title in hand. Not currently tagged. Runs but has old gas from just sitting in the garage all the time & may need to be primed &/or temperamental. Comes with two hoods. The big hood has a couple small stress cracks seen up close. Comes with original removable soft doors & bikini top. Its very unique & its is quite a head turner. It is +56 years old and far from perfect. It is not a daily driver, its a piece of history. I am getting rid of it because I have lost interest. Cash or possible trade for other unique toys like Scout, Willys, Tractor, & ATV. I do not respond to “is this still available” & I do not respond to online offers. Many improvements during ownership: new seals and fluid in front axle, fuel pump and hose assy, Firestone tires, exhaust manifold and muffler, leaf springs and shocks, battery, fan belt, etc. Heater works.
