It’s an ex-Navy jeep with a data plate.
“This Jeep has been the subject of a complete restoration to “good driver” standards. This means that the chassis has been cleaned, painted, all working parts replaced or repaired as needed. The brakes are new, brake lines and master cylinder are new, the emergency brake serviced and made to work well. The engine has been compression checked, all parts checked to make sure they work and do not leak, then painted. The transmission works and shifts correctly, drained and refilled, the transfer case works correctly. Both differentials have been repaired and re-filled with gear oil, they work well. Lockout hubs are installed on the front hubs. 12 volt electrics are installed, and the wiring harness is new. Tires are essentially new, (less than 150 miles). Windshield glass is new. The body is all NEW, not repaired, painted to look like a Vietnam-era Navy Jeep. IT IS LOADS OF FUN TO DRIVE, GETS GREAT APPLAUSE IN PARADES! ”
Should be some value here, especially with the hardtop.
“I have a cj5, good frame and drivetrain, rusted tub. A cj3b with hardtop. Motor I believe is locked up. Rusted frame and tub. And a cj2a? With a fiberglass body and no motor. No titles and can’t get any. Spare transmission and transfer case. Make a off-road buggy or find a title and rebuild one. Text is best or call and leave a message with phone number and will call back when I get service. No emails. Pics show what they are.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $16,000.
Looks nice.
“I am selling or trading my 1953 Willys Jeep Resto Mod.
This Jeep has too many modifications and I do not want to look foolish trying to explain them all. If you are a Jeep enthusiast you will know what parts are on it and you will know that this resto mod has been very well done.
It is not perfect but it is close.
Paint is good but the hood could use reshooting and there are some chips here and there but I think it gives it character. Still looks great going down the road though.
It needs the driver front blinker rewired. I am no Mechanic and did not want to mess it up trying to fix it.
This car does not have A/C but it does have heat that works very well. If you want to install an A/C I am sure you could but I simply take the top off.
It has the full soft top and doors but it also has the bikini top which is not shown in pics but will come with.
This Jeep has not been off roading yet since the rebuild but I have been getting tempted. It does have 4×4 that works as supposed to but aren’t all Jeeps.
This Jeeps top speed is recommended at 60 mph. It can go faster but is not safe. It cruises very nice at 60 however.
So far as a trade…text me pics of what you have but it must be worth my asking price. Not willing to put money on top on my end but you are more than welcome to. Only trading for other cars period. Absolutely no guns or boats.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(03/20/2017) No photos provided. Seller notes that he doesn’t have to sell, just gauging interest.

Roger spotted this one. It’s an estate sale find.
“1958 United States Willys Navy Jeep CJ 3B, Barn find at estate sale. Chassis off frame restoration in process, mechanically nearly completed. Tub and all sheet metal blasted and primed. Matching numbers. Very well done and in excellent condition. Needs body work and paint and final assembly.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000.
Could be a good price.
“90% original, has 4 cylinder original motor. Must see to appreciate”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3900.
(03/08/2017) Runs, but needs some work.
“Here’s a nice, 2 owner Willys barn find! 1959 Willys CJ3B. Looks to be original miles! Has had a minimal amount of body work done in it’s lifetime, and has obviously been repainted, but appears to be the original color. The tub and frame are in excellent condition. Starts and runs okay, but needs some TLC. The drive train is a little noisy too. Has the factory heater/defroster. Windshield is broken, as is the driver’s door window. Top easily removes with two people (looks much better without the top in my opinion). I have the old-school Illinois title, which was issued in 1976 when the previous owner bought it from the original purchaser. Come make me an offer!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $400.
Parts jeep. Appears to have full floaters.
“Late 50’s Willys. No drive train and tube is shot. Frame is pretty good as is the front clip. Windshield is fair. No title. $400.00 OBO. Rear wheels have been replaced with others”
