“Yes, it’s a Willys! 1951 vintage with original 4 cylinder running engine, 3-speed manual, working high/low range, lights, and 2wd/4wd. (Between 1946 and 1953 only 132,000 were made.) The fuel tank has been reconditioned and certified. There is some “play” in the steering. Brakes are good. Could use a new muffler or tailpipe. Hey, it’s not show class pretty, but it works! Clear, clean title but not currently licensed. Has been a workhorse on an Idaho ranch for many years! Lots of sentimental memories! Want it to go to a “Jeep-lover” home/ranch! Odometer is not working. Price may be slightly negotiable”

(01/22/2017)  “1951 Willys CJ3a. Great running vehicle and tons of fun. Jeep has a 4.3 vortec swap with a 600cfm Edelbrock carb and aluminum intake. Also has a brand new HEI distributor, long tube headers, flow master exhaust and an electric fan. It has a T-18 transmission with a Dana 20 transfer case. Axles are stock as far as I know with Warn locking hubs. Tires are 33×12.5×15. Brakes and bushings have been replaced. $6000 obo. Call, text or email”

The jeep is 98 percent there. I bought it as a project and have just too many going on. My intentions were to sandblast and powder coat the frame and then just slowly but surely put it together. Since there is so little to these jeeps, it really wouldn’t take that much to do a restoration, or, just put it together and have a running, driving jeep. I have the title in hand, don’t need help selling it, won’t ship it to you in some foreign country or take a check for twice the amount and send you back the change…..”
