Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Stripped down to frame – welded all holes and cracks – Painted with OD Green Lacquer
Suspension reworked with lifted springs and a spring-over – Painted with OD Green Lacquer
Body –
Nice fiberglass tub painted with bed liner, now white plastic dip. Since its fiberglass there is no rust and since it weighs virtually 200 lbs, this thing hauls ass up until 35-40mph. Not geared for highway use.

1951 jeep willy! $1800 or trade. Frames in good shape body needs a little work. It will turn over but it doesnt have a coil (can get at parts store). Welcome to come check it out anytime. Call or text anytime. Doesnt have a title but the courthouse told me there isnt anything on the serial number so they said just to get a new one which isnt hard to do i just havent done it yet. The front bumper is a bit funky (probably designed to be towed), but the jeep looks solid.
“For Sale: 1952 CJ3A Willys Jeep (civilian, not military). Willys F4-134 Hurricane engine. Very good running condition. Tub is excellent. Manuals/books, tow bar, heater (not installed), bimini top and roll bar included. All gauges operational. Selectro brand front hubs (Montgomery Ward) considered the best and work great. Turn signals (manual cancel).12 volt system with alternator & electronic ignition results in excellent starts.
Lots of new/rebuilt parts, including:
New gas tank, hood, exhaust system, speedometer/cable & seat covers (good seats). Rebuilt starter, new ring gear, new fuel pump, professionally rebuilt Carter carburetor, new rear axel seals, rebuilt brake master/wheel cylinders and new shoes, new oil pan gasket & 5 original style tires.
Great Jeep. Would be a very good hunting Jeep or an excellent place to start with a restoration. Fun to drive and gets lots of waves.
