Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Listed as a 1953, it appears to be a 1946 CJ-2A. Has a few mods. I’ve never seen a tow mount attached above the PTO bar like this one has.

All original, clear title, runs and drives great. Frame is in great shape, very solid. Body is in really good shape. Floors have been patched. Bed is in really good shape with no patches. New paint and decals. Interior has been rhino lined. New tail lights need wired up. Headlights work, gauge cluster works. Brakes work great. Come with another complete set of military tires. They are one size taller. Has removable bikini top. Middle seat slides right out. Just a fun Jeep that never gets used anymore.”

“This ad is for an old 1950 Flat Fender Jeep Willys. Its pretty much complete and not far off from being able to drive. I was planning on getting a 6 volt battery and get it running but it might be easier to do a 12 volt conversion, not sure. I’m afraid to do anything that might damage the 6 volt system. Anyway I don’t have any long term plans for it and not attached and have other projects going on. So it’s about time to let it go.”

“1953 Willys CJ3A. It runs and drives, 100% brand new T90 3-speed transmission and rebuilt steering box. Engine is an F head out of a later model versus the L head that would have come factory. 4WD works, hubs and T18 transfer case shift well in and out of 2/4WD and Hi/Lo. Also new front fenders, front suspension (springs, shackles, pivot bolts), new shocks all around. Could use a little carb tuning. Steering is tight with the tie rod ends in good shape.
Frame is straight and not all rotted out. Tub could be better, but it’s 67 year old thin sheet metal after all. Tub floor pan was also bed lined by a previous owner, and free from any cancerous rust. Great starting point for a full restore, father/son build, crawler, motor swap, whatever you want. Simple with literally every part available online to replace anything on the vehicle. Bought it as a project last year and lost interest. Reg expired in 2018 so there are some back fees, unsure what they are. Any questions just ask. 5500 obo”

(08/06/2019) This is a definite 80’s throwback build. The diamond-plating, the engine selection, the high-back bucket seats, and the bobcat hood were all popular northwest mods.

“Thinking about selling my 1951 Willy’s, it has a 151 iron duke 4 cylinder Chevy engine with a 3 speed manual, power steering and a Chevy tilt wheel, 33×13.5 R15 TSL boggers that are almost, new shocks, a 9,000 lb winch, comes with soft doors and soft top, it needs some minor things here and there, but it runs and drives, looking to get 5,500”
