rebuilt, had the transmission gone through and also had the rear end rebuilt. Also it has new front end parts, new exhaust, new water pump, new radiator, new brake parts (shoes and cylinders) and I had the drums turned. There is some surface rust underneath. It’s in excellent running condition. Price is $5400.00 or best reasonable offer. Pickup only. Cash only.”

“I have a 1948 CJ 2a Willys for sale. I bought it as a parts vehicle for my other one. Time and money have not permitted me to work on this project. I need room in the garage because I have too many projects going on. It does not run. No title. It has lock out hubs on the front axle. It needs work and could make you a project or parts. Some of the photos are from the day I brought it home a few years back. the grill, fenders, hood, and windshield have been removed, but I still have them.”

Technically, the first year of production on civilian jeeps was 1945. This CJ sounds like it has an interesting history.
