It looks like it needs some work.
“Too many toys and not enough time. Up for sale is my 1947 Willys Jeep with a 1975 Buick V6 engine. This Jeep has been in the family for over 50 years and has been stored in a garage or shop for much of its existance. The brakes and seals have been reconditioned recently. It has a new battery (converted to 12 Vots when V-6 engine was installed) and starts and runs well. It comes with an electric wench and a detachable tow bar.
Sorry, no warranty on a 65 year old Jeep.
In addition to the pictures below, I’m including a link to a video of the Jeep taken in the last two weeks.

UPDATE: **SOLD**
This looks like a good price consider it includes a trailer. It was listed for sale on a blog out of Plainview, TX.
“Just got to love Texas off road! I had the best times in this jeep. We would travel through canyons and into prairies in this cherry red jeep. My husband had great fun in it hunting with his Father – in – Law. It brings back many memories.
My Dad restores old antique vehicles and it has been safely vaulted away in his storage. Recetnly we have had it out and about, but sadly it is time for it to move on to another owner. Someone else can have a great off road or city vehicle.
It’s for sale. 1946 Willys Jeep, cherry red, 11K miles, Solid and runs great! She’s ready to go hunting! Excellent shape. Asking $4000.00 and comes with tilting trailer.”

(05/31/2012) This has been sitting a long time.
“up for sale is a willys that is 99.9% orig and complete. This has been sitting in a barn since 1985-2009. It was run up untill 85 when a spark plug was busted off on the back cylinder when they were getting changed and then just sat since. This willys will need complete restoration and needs lots of work. It has the flat head 4 cylinder, 2 stick T-case, motor is still loose but the trans is stuck and will not shift. I will send an extra trans with it. only things I know that are missing are the plug wires, air cleaner tube. This will need to be trailered. Comes with a bill of sale only.”
This looks pretty solid. I’m not sure why it has the V shaped metal on the rear.

This is listed as a 1952 CJ-2A. There might be some value, but needs a closer look.
“1952 Willys CJ2A, it has been setting a few years. The motor turns over, I have not tried to start it yet. It ran when parked, the inspection sticker on the windshield is a 99 sticker. Thats pretty much all I really know about it at this point. Title is in hand, so if you have any questions or would like some more pics feel free to give me a call at 717-713-4484. Leave a message if I don’t answer and I will get back to you. The front right leaf spring is broken also.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,800
This looks solid. It’s listed as a 1946 CJ-2A. It’s got different rims on the front and back. The ones on the back, m151 rims, may give it a narrower track in the rear than the front. I’m not sure what effect that might have on driving it.
“New rebuilt engine, L134 F Head (less than 20 miles on engine).
New Top, New Tires, New Battery, NewAlternator and New Fuel pump. To many new parts to list.
Transmission and Transfer case perfect running order.

It’s not all original nor the ‘cleanest one’ you’ll see, but it appears solid.
“1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep
This is the classic flat fender MASH jeep that started the CJ craze. This is an original, stock, non-Frankensteined version, so it’s the cleanest one you’ll see out there. It has the original flat head 4-cylinder “Go-Devil” engine that purrs (watch the video), and it starts right up with a push button start. It has the original two stick 4 wheel drive system so you can have high and low in 2wd and 4wd. The dash is uncut with all the original gauges including the “rifle” holder. Here are the other options:
Original 3 speed stick on the floor
Full roll cage (aftermarket)
Shoulder and lap belts
BestTop convertible top with removable soft doors, no rips
Front tow bar – removable
Rear ball hitch and receiver
Removable rear seat

Stock look, cherry red, and it always gets waves and thumbs up wherever you go. Always garaged or covered. This is not your daily driver, it’s a collector vehicle that is 66 years old, serious inquiries only, sold as is, and it is what it is – – an American icon that is a lot of fun!
See it and hear it run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRmR9N6_a4Y”

(09/02/2012) This has a replacement body. It looks like a nice rig.
“Very Nice 1947 Willys cj2a. I did a full body restoration in 2004, no corners were cut. The body is solid steel, built in the 70’s after market, The person that had it was going to build a Jeep but never got around to it, it sat in his building for over 30 years, when I bought it, it was solid, no rust and still in factory primer. I striped it down to bare metal, nothing but the best primers and sealers were used under the base coat clear coat paint. PPG.
The engine had just been rebuilt right before I bought it and it runs great, I did tear it down and put in a new rear main seal, its like new inside.
The transmission and transfer case are in perfect running order, both rear ends are in perfect running order.
The breaks are orig drum breaks and work good, it may need a new break light switch from just sitting in the garage so much.
It has brand new modern wiring with a painless wiring harness and has been converted to a 12 volt system. New gauges. New full roll cage.
It has new bucket seats with a 5 point seat belt harness on each seat. The wheels and tires are new. The steering wheel is new.
I have only put 1902 miles on this Jeep since the restoration and it has only been caught in the rain one time. No top, no wipers, only driven on sunny days.
I have put over 1000 manual labor hours into the restoration, a real labor of Love!!!!! Its like New!!!!
If you have questions you can call me, PH# 330-257-3933 I will be camping over Labor Day weekend and may be out of cell service, just leave me a message and I will call you right back…… Thanks!!!”
